So for the Air Force stage they just remix Guile’s Theme… again… And not only that, they don’t even make 2 versions of the theme like every other stage.
It’d been cool if SFV had gone the Ark System Works route and made themes for specific match ups. And no, they aren’t just mashups of the 2 characters’ themes. A Guile vs Nash theme would’ve brought all the feels.
I’ve noticed that when music is turned off, some of the more important sound effects are turned off as well. For example, the announcement of “Another fight is coming your way” has no sounds at all unless you have music turned on. That sound should always play.
Capcom’s way of handling audio in Street Fighter 4 and 5 is weird in general. It’s like it’s too difficult for them to implement separate sliders for stuff like voices, announcers, sound effects, music, ambient
Personally, I’m glad the air field doesn’t do that, and I wish they would stop doing that in general. I don’t like it when the music changes mid-match. It messes up the groove, man.
I’m not sure what version of those games you play, but the PC version of USF4 totally had separate sliders for voices, sound effects and music. And the PC version of SF5 has all of those, plus a separate one for the announcer.
PC version. I’ve got BGM at 0, and all the others at 7 or 8, with the information voice on. But the incoming fight announcement is not tied to the announcer volume slider, that’s the issue.
The problem is that when you turned off the music in SFIV - it also gets rid of the audio in the character prologues and epilogues, and even though the slider itself goes to “0”, you can still hear it faintly in the background, and that was never fixed on the console versions of the game
