Yeah I’m not sure if that’d work out too well since I probably won’t get out of work until a bit after 5:00 and would be fighting traffic all the way down.
If you’re interested in trying it out I got it for xbox and I’ve got 2 sticks.
Person-man, I’d certainly give you a ride to Gameyard (I work in Ann Arbor), but unfortunately I’m hitting the gym tonight + run some other errands, so I won’t be able to make it tonight.
I haven’t given up on making it to Sunday’s ranbat though.
In other news, http://tekken.namco.com/gamestop/
Props to Joe for finding this (just in case you want some pre-ranbat practice against scrubs). Check for a store location nearest you for details.
I won’t be at Gameyard this week, family emergency. But this Sunday I can’t wait to bring out my Ryu greatness. Fo Sho!!!
Yeah I gotcha in0r4n, all that driving and after-work traffic is a bit much…
Oh sweet. Will you be in A2 on Sunday? Again, I’ll pay half the gas.
I would probably play in that GS Tekken tournament if I’ve ever owned a Tekken game before. Still, I might go to watch if it’s not in the middle of Halloween night.
BTW, does it cost anything to go to Gameyard to play casuals?
GS tournaments are tentatively starting at 2PM on Saturday.
Person-man, I won’t be in Ann Arbor on Sunday - I live about 20 minutes from the city.
Yeah, six bucks if you’re there for the Thursday casuals.
Well shit if nobody else is going to Gameyard…
Doesn’t look like its Gameyard tonight.
Damn I was actually ready today, too. Brought my joystick and everything to work. I just want to start making some friends within the community and get some real practice since the only experience I have is on XBL which pretty much puts me next to scrub level.
I have class, but after that I am going to try and make it up there.
Damn, asked John and he said the same thing as thundercats. Guess I’ll just play Borderlands forever.
Well if no one is going, then I won’t either.
Everyone should come on Sunday instead!!..eh?..eh?
I might check out that gamestop thing.
1 more question hai guy. Everyone says savage stance is really good, what exactly is it about it that makes it so good?
edit: Nobody go to Gamestop. It turns out you have to use the shitty ass kiosk pads like the sf tournament. Fuck that.
Tekken is easy to get into VF on the other hand is a different story. Crow got Tekken 6 we should game sometime
Fuck that indeed.
And I should be there Sunday.
I just noticed that my sf4 disc has “xAx” sharpied on it. I guess I got my copy mixed up with someone else’s. If it’s yours and you care let me know.
Er? I don’t have T6, no.
Unless you’re* inviting* me to play T6…
Yeah, the kiosk pads might suck, but can’t possibly suck any more than the Xbox controllers for the SF4 tourney back in the day.
As for SAV stance, Miguel’s got a lot of moves that transition him into that stance and provide a variety of mixups. Especially when the initial moves hit (which in most cases provide you with advantage), Miguel makes a nice guessing game with the options he has. I’m not an authority on Miguel (I’ve only played a few games with him in the arcade), so I’m sure there’s something more in depth about that stance.
I do know some of his weaknesses though, which as a non-Miguel player, I’ve tried to take advantage of.
I’m getting serious with this T6 Hai teach me how to zone/ break throws
