I’m available like almost everyday 
(my schedule is very flexible). I was at AFC this past Friday while playing some El Fuerte player who was pretty decent. He beat me twice, I beat him twice, and he left. The matches I had with that guy is exactly the matches I need on a daily basis versus other players and characters.
This may be a little off-topic, but it still seems appropriate and helpful for the MI community. It’s time for the MI to be completely unified while putting personal egos aside. There’s one thing I dislike about the gaming community in this state is the majority of people keeping tips and tactics to themselves instead of helping another person out when they know they can. What some people don’t know is it only hurts the community since only one person knows everything while everyone else is kept in the dark just because they want to continue their reign over others. The funny thing is when that person has to go against skilled players from out of town who uses the same type of tactics better than that person against the other person, then they could be screwed because they haven’t trained to go against their own tactics since they were selfish in enlightening the rest of the gaming community on it. Bottomline, it’s selfish and only limits the gaming potential of the entire community when a majority of people only looks out for themselves instead of others. Also, people should listen and follow-up on any good advice given to them since that’s a problem as well. We’ll never have a solid gaming community like the west or east coast (let alone Japan) if people continue to be selfish and not put their egos to rest. I respect the fact if people don’t agree with any of this, but that’s how I’ve been feeling about MI gaming over the years.
Now that’s off my chest, if anyone is trying to game this week on some “leveling up” and not “random gathering” type stuff, then pm me. I’m all about improvement in these fighting games. EVO 2009 has inspired me again :china:.

Only problem with me is that I play on 360 mainly because of my stick…I guess I can use a TE on PS3…only if its a TE tho.:wtf:
Can u use Hori real arcade pro sticks? it has all Sanwa parts but the layout is different since the default is last 3.

Well, if you have two sticks, then I wouldn’t have a problem playing on either PS3 or 360. Let’s set a date so we can get it going

Dude I’m glad you said it cuz for real. THAT NEEDED TO BE SAID!!! I am trying to build a community of people that wanna improve as we speak. I actually learned to play Street Fighter in '92 while visiting my uncle at U of M. I wanted to get into tourneys back then but they said nobody had tourneys in Michigan (only in cali). So I continued to crush the local people in oakland and wayne county that I knew and my only real challenge was the computer on 8 STARS!! The big names got noobs that they train just to crush people like us. I just got back into the scene recently with sf4 and I am going to EVO 2010. Listen up fellas Markudea spittin knowledge and I aint falling off from Fighting games ever again.

Those crossfire converters suck from my experience. I have a very reliable guy who can mod 360 TE’s to work on PS3 and vice versa for around $100. Kinda pricey but about the same price as them ass converters.
Yeah for the tournaments only. They are cheaper than buying a second stick. Just an option. If you got guys that can only play on a custom stick that they paid x amount of dollars for parts they would not have to buy a second stick. You would only need 2 converters (one of each) cause some people just use other peoples any way, it’s just a thought. I never used one but there is a video on youtube of a guy using one.:pleased:

If people are hiding shit here that’s news to me; quite frankly I didn’t realize anyone in Michigan had tips and tactics worth hiding.
That means Michiganders need to get there game up so we can be a threat to the east and west.
I’d love for that to happen, we just dont have the player base imo.
Those converters lag balls, a buddy of mine used one and said there was like at least 5 frames of lag, you wouldn’t be able to do shit with that.
Also, nobody in Michigan is hiding anything, we just don’t get to play each other as much as we’d like, then again half the motherfuckers on here don’t even show up to the tournaments.
Everyone should make it a commitment to try and come to BOTH of the tournaments this weekend, the one at AFC and the one at Gameyard. Even if you don’t show to enter you can at least play a few games.
I’m going to be in San Fran from Friday through half of next week. No tournaments for me!
But yeah, I never go to the tourneys partially because they’re usually on days I work, and I don’t play the games enough to make it worth getting the day off and going anyway. There’s also the fact that most of the best players in the area just plain don’t do tourneys anymore, whether for time or just not liking those games that are popular nowadays. I just don’t think there’s enough other people who do play and are really good at it to really constitute a threat to most places with a scene.
