The Murda Mitten-Michigan O9' 1.1thread

Didn’t basically say in my last post to you, that I’ve been going to tournaments since 2007 to watch Twan play, basically? I either don’t have the comp or time, or interest to practice in games. Mix that in with aching hands after gameplay, which you of all people should know about, and I’m quick to stop playing on some days. I love Mvc2, I would love to be an elite in this game, but I can’t play Sentinel the way the pro’s do because it hurts my hands to do fly/unfly combos. T6 came out before around the time I was beginning to quit games. The first week it was out I played it, I destroyed everyone in it. However I stopped playing it for personal reasons and I left the game alone.

Most of my games collect dust. Most instances the only time I play is when Antwan comes over and wants me to play. I am his only competition simply put. He doesn’t want me to quit games because he knows I am one of the best players, I do not have the same drive that he has though. You can play 50 games if you want. If you lost 40 because you don’t play the game then you really havent accomplished anything. Then if you play the game 6 months later, yeah, you don’t play the game, simple and easy to understand. I don’t play Cvs2, 3s, TTT, Mvc2, GG, etc. These are games I haven’t touched for a long time, TTT hasn’t been played by me since 2001. Most of the others I haven’t played in 5 years or so.

I know it’s the second game. And who said anything about being an OG? I played it when Wizzards first got it. I used all of my regular skills to beat everybody’s ass, very simple. ARCADE. I didn’t play console games back then, my last system was Sega Saturn at the time.

Simply put. I’ve been around longer than you have. You live in Brighton. People in the arcades across Detroit recognized me ever since I was a little kid. I played every single game in the arcade from 90-95 late 96-98. Tekken as my main after that. Brighton doesn’t have an arcade, and I’m sure you never came to Detroit until you found out about SRK, so who are you to say what the fuck I’ve done, who I’ve played, who I have beaten, etc. By the time I started going to Wizzards in 98/99 I didn’t play Capcom games anymore, like 2nd Impact, SFA3, 3s. These are games I do not like. I used to play Mvc1 at Wizzards but that was it. No legitimate SF game was out in that era, so I never played any 2D games. I dominated Tekken, locally @ 14/15 during Tekken 3. I didn’t know about tournaments though. Cvs1? I dabbled with it. At the end I was descent in it. Cvs2? This game came out the same day at Wizzards as T4. So of course I wouldn’t play this game at first, just the same way as no Cvs2 players played T4. I eventually learned the game bit by bit, and I played at Wizzards. Casuals? Yes. However, arcade casuals are different than you console kids casuals. Arcade is public, and it costs money to play. No matter what, at Wizzards we always brought our A-Game every match we played, which is why it was the best place for competition in every game pretty much. You could feel hate as soon as you walk into the walls. So every tournament winner, top player that I played at Wizzards AND BEAT, they played their best grooves, teams etc. I beat them at their best. Tournament play and normal play at Wizzards was on the same level. TTT I never let anyone beat me like I do now on console Tekkens. I destroyed you if I could pull it off. There are people around the country who have still never beaten me a single match in TTT, at Wizzards we went hard, PERIOD. Ask AJ has he or Nick ever beaten me a game in TTT, ask them, I tortured both of them whenever they came up there. If you could beat me when you played me at Wizzards, you could probably beat me in tourny.

Ok, you live in Brighton? Cool. I lived around the corner from an arcade called Wizzards and I didn’t have a job. I didn’t have money to buy consoles, I lived at about 5 family members homes at one point as a matter of fact, there are times where I didn’t play because I wasn’t in the area. I’m pretty sure you had a dreamcast like everybody else back then, PS2 etc. I didn’t get a Next-Gen console after Saturn/PS1 until 2004, and it was a gift from my wife, an Xbox lol. I got a PS2 in 2005 to play Tekken 5. So that was about 9 years since my last official system. 2002-2003-2004 at Wizzards was mostly spent playing Halo. So like before, I never practiced. I won the most Tekken 4 tournaments than anyone in Michigan with no practice whatsoever. On pad. lol.

Kudos to you. I still play games. Maybe 70 games of SFIV yesterday with the young bucks at my house. Excuses? Why should I practice in SF4 when I’ve been banned from most of the tournaments? That first tournament that I got “banned” from I forgot my stick because we were rushing to get there in time, so I didn’t enter. I only play on MAS stick, not Hori. Aaron tells me since I threatened somebody who talked shit to me, and that I didn’t enter the tournament, and that because they were friends first and he knows him better that I can’t come to his tournaments anymore. So really? Why should I be playing SFIV? I just like to see Twan torture these fucks every week, it makes me laugh, because Grego pulled a bitch move because he didn’t want Twan to win, because obviously he can’t beat him. In turn, Twan still gets to every tournament in the same fashion and wins every week, it tickles me because even though Grego did everything in his power to get me banned, he doesn’t even get fuckin 2nd place. Piece of shit scrub who sucks at SF, no talent whatsoever, it makes me laugh. I’m not going to play SFIV seriously like that. So what excuses should I say this time? I’m not going to play because I got banned from the weeklies/monthlies? Is that okay this time? I’m not saying nothing about hands, age, family etc. Even though I don’t like the game, I will play it in tournaments, but that isn’t possible no more.

Anybody who’s ever played me in anything besides Tekken knows that I am good in all games. I’ve seen you maybe 3 times in my life, and you and I have never played anything, I never even talk to you, you don’t look me in the eye when you see me. So how does a guy, from BRIGHTON as he says, who doesn’t look me in the face when he see’s me, who’s been sick for all these years, etc, know how good I am? That is the real question. Now notice, I never said anything about your skills in any of these games, I never talked shit about anything you ever say. But I’ll say this, if you want to play ME, in any of these games, you let me know. Usually I put $$$ on this type of stuff. It’s a fact that most people don’t want to compete against me in multiple games like that. They try to bet me in games they are good at, instead of the general tournament games. Grego will say, hey bitch, I’ll own you in A3, 3s, Cvs2, play me for money. When infact the main games are SF4, HD Remix, T6/T5DR, GGAC, Mvc2 etc. I will play games that I am not good at because I have heart and confidence in my abilities even if I don’t practice in them. Grego and most of these other cats lack that. So as I said, I will play you in whatever just to get my point across.

You not calling me out, you just talking shit. Anybody who wants to call me out will play me for money simply put. If you feel that I am a scrub, and that I’m not shit then beat my ass and take my money, it’s simply that easy. But at the moment I’m not even allowed near their little tournaments, so Twan is my representative. They don’t like the shit talk? That’s part of it. Do something like WIN then, stop being a bum, stop practicing if you not going to win. If you need some help then ask the best, come to our training grounds of Detroit, stop being a hoe and grow some balls, it’s just that simple.

common sense and logic?? on MY srk!? :shake:

I wouldn’t mind throwing down in some HDR with vegas sometime. That’s a man’s game.

Yeah I know Common sense seems like an irrelevant thing here at times. Figured that I would throw some out there.

Is your avatar from IaMP?

Yuck

is there gonna be a tournament at digital ops saturday?

hey is anyone interested in a full sanwa se stick with plexi bottom.
a friend of mines is selling it. first 6 buttons white last 2 red.
its brandnew. only opened it to mod n test out the stick n buttons.
if interested shoot me a pm. hes asking $130 for it or make an offer.

yup. if you can get past the rampant chibi loli-ness there’s a pretty awesome game in there. I don’t really play it anymore, but someone linked me to that gif and 'cause of from when I first played it… was kinda necessary.

My avatar is pretty cool too

fixed it for ya

Vegaz, I have beaten you in every game I’ve ever played you in. Talent?

I played it for a little while and didn’t like it.

Yes.

Nah, if you were fixing it you would have put in HF! I think I like HDR more than ST, honestly. HF is still the best SF2, but no one plays it anymore.

[1] You know, what’s crazy about it all is that I was standing directly behind you guys when the Howell Incident? happened. I had the Detroit hat on that day. Like, I was right there and heard every word because y’all were like two feet in front of me. To this day, I am still amazed at how quickly that shit escalated between you two. On one hand, the shit was just really funny. I mean, first you had Grego telling Chad (who is the last person who needs any tips) about a random ass combo in a game that nobody plays anymore during what I’m pretty sure was a five dollar money match. Then you had Brian (you) going ape shit and telling Greg, “Yeah nigga, I’m that hood!” LMAO. As a first hand witness, it was just some funny shit. But on the other hand, the whole situation was just …sad, because looking back on it, it was all over a game. A Game. If someone asked me to explain why you two were beefing I wouldn’t even know what to tell them. “Yo man, why do those two have beef?” …“Um, it was over a game”.

[2]Yo, do you remember that last tournament you were at in AA, when Dejuan and me were battling it out in the tourney with my Gief versus his Bison? That was my first time meeting Dejuan in fact. I remember that shit was intense with people yelling and Rusty screaming his head off as always. Dejuan took the first set, I took the second, then he beat me in the last one. After the match, I was walking by you and we gave each other a play. You were like, “Yo man, good shit, but why weren’t you focus attacking the headstomp? You gotta focus that shit man.” I said something about just starting to play Gief the previous night. You gave me a pointer that I hadn’t even though about. Just some solid commentary on the match that I appreciated.

The point of this is, it isn’t really about Twan “torturing” people at tournaments. In fact, whenever I see Twan at these weeklys/monthlys, he isn’t trying to torture people at all. It’s always just the opposite. I always see him talking to people after their match, or just watching some random match intently. When I’m on smoke breaks I always see him, Grego, and Chad chopping it up outside about different moves/tactics while we make jokes and oogle at the chicks passing by that place. Just three really solid players just shooting the shit, no talk of “bums” or torture. I’ve seen Greg and Twan go find a free TV in the back and just sit there and play Sagat vs. Balrog. If it was really about torturing and embarrassing people in the games, then all the really solid players would be hoarding information and not telling anyone a damn thing, which I’ve never seen anyone do, like ever. The reason for that is when you see two people battling hard in a match you can’t help but to point some shit out to them. Just like me versus Dejuan that day. Dejuan and I were battling hard as fuck that day. You pointed some shit out to me afterwards because you saw us working hard. And that’s how it should be. I mean, has anyone ever stopped to simply ask someone for pointers? Go ask Grego something: “Yo Grego, what do I do with so-and-so against so-and-so?” He’ll fire off ten different things to do. I’m sure Twan would do the same. (Shit, Rusty screams out shit to do during the matches, lol. “UPPERCUT, …ULTRA!!! I LIKE IT!! YEAH, I LIKE IT!” Rusty cracks me up.)

Ladymachine has a great quote: “Michigan could be good, but Michigan doesn’t stick together.” That’s paraphrasing. And even though it might seem to contradict what I was saying about people giving solid advice to people who are working hard, it’s mostly true when you think about it. Someone is always beefing with someone for no good reason in Michigan, and unfortunately it always seems like it’s one really solid player who has beef or issues with another really solid player. Sad. At one point I said that Twan, Greg, and Chad should be playing each other on a regular or semi-regular basis, but how can that happen when there’s the constant aroma of beef in the air? I’m just saying, it’s hard for me to reconcile the torturing/bums shit when it’s the exact opposite when we all get together in the same place.

I Give the best advice in Cvs 2… first u pick A groove then u pick Bison ,blanka, Vega =)

p.s. SF4 is hot garbage!

For the record I never had any kind of beef with Grego, dude is just soft. If I had any beef with dude he would’ve never been invited to anything I threw. I don’t care who the individual is, if I feel I’m being disrespected I am going to speak up, from there on out if the situation escalates then fuck it. I was the same dude about to scrap over SA2 at MWC last year, the same game, same scenario, lil guys try to get disrespect with me and I check off in em, I really don’t give a fuck about anything else, you disrespect me and that’s a no no, that’s in video game land, the job, the streets, where ever I’m at. Other than that when you see me at a tournament I’m cool, laid back, I don’t talk much, I give advice after matches mostly, people act like I come in with a grenade in my hand talking shit like it’s the end of the world lol.

Anyways I’m coming to Ann Arbor weekly tomorrow, if anybody got a problem with it holla at me when you see me, you know my face, if you have a problem about what I say on this thread holla at me when you see me.

Michigan could be the truth but it’s always a supreme hater (grego in this case) that fucks up everything for his own soft heart. Never had the balls to holla at me man to man, I even offered to have the boy fix my stick last August, y’all friend needs to grow the fuck up, simply put.

uhmm…such tension in here lol

Great matches tonight to everyone, especially Antwan. I just wish I’d done a little better in Grands >.<

Good shit!
