Nice! where do you do track days at?
And I’m assuming you’ll be in the ulw class when you race the r3?

I had a sv650 track bike for a very short time:

Absolutely could not stand riding it, the ergos felt out of placed with the aftermarket clip ons and rearsets. Very awkward like. Power delivery was sluggish compared to an i4 600.
But some people love em for racing so it sold relatively fast. My next track bike will be a L gen gsxr750 similar to my street bike and I might get my license to race in what ever classes that allow middleweight

Anyway, cool to see another person on here that rides. You getting hotbodies track body work on the r3? And is the r6 going to be street only?

Not sure what the race classes are in Edmonton. Just gonna do the ermc course, and figure it out after that.

Havent looked at race bodies yet, prolly next year. It will be my first time so i expect to crash the bike alot. Hopefully low slides more than anything. So cheap body panels are a must.

Not sure what i am gonna do with the r6. Right now its just a garage queen. Nearly killed me twice(complete noob to riding, plus no safety course). Hopefully in 2-3 years i will be able to ride it withe same confidence and skill i have with r3

Is this the track?

Reminds me of my local one, no rumble strips and bumpy! Make sure you stock up on levers and foot pegs, I know guys at the pits that would have shoe boxes full of spares, helped me out when I crashed the sv and the left side lever and peg was snapped off and grounded off. Also perches too. I’m sure you are aware but if not, get your suspension dialed in by having your mechanic or someone that specializes in that area. It was a night and day difference when a ktech/ohlins tech did my baseline and worked with the OEM components, it will be the first thing I do to my next track bike

Yep thats the one. Oh nice, i never thought about those. For the suspension, i’m gonna run the stock setup early on. And gradually move to an ohlins. Brakes are my main concern with the r3.

Found an 07 r6 with a hole in engine. I might grab it and work on it over the winter.
