Bow Guns and long swords when I’m with the crew but I use the Akantor bow and DCB most of the time for those quick kills.

monster hunter looks awesome, ive seen lots of people playing it here on the trains and i tried it once and i thought it was fun, but too much kanji for me right now. when i get back to the states i am pretty sure im gonna get a copy and try to get some online play going
the gun lance, i can just about gun lance anything except the fatalis.
Chameleos. such a pain in the ass to use the gun lance or any weapon i try and use.
Damn. I’m considering getting a PSP 2000 just to get this game (with modding in mind). I know there are other versions, but with the PSP to PS3 adaption in Japan, hopefully it will come stateside soon. The Wii version probably wont hit the US until late 2010?
Game looks fun and addicting as hell.

Use the Smoldering dragon longsword or Maple Fire longsword and hit those legs until it falls over. The only problem with that strat is the poison cloud… its the only damage you’ll take. Actually I hate the Teo and the Kushala wayyy more than the Chameleos.

I don’t get it. He’s slow, he gives you a million chances to attack, I have a ton of Ancient Potions and Demondrugs, but I STILL can’t beat Congalala.
:lol: kusha and teo are my easier match ups. but even then there’s very little room for error. anyway my biggest problem with chameleos is just locating it so i know which way to block since my first focus is to break it’s horn and tail first.
why not bring some traps and flash bombs along?? it helps a bit…
Sonic bombs knocks it out of that invisible state until it gets pissed.
sonic bombs only work on it if you throw the bomb as it’s trying to attack you. and at times it’s hard trying to figure out if it indeed is doing an attack or not.
Just circle around him to his right (your left) and wait for him to do those claw swipes. Hit him once he falls on his ass, or when his back is turned to you (ignore every other opening to attack until you’re more comfortable with fighting him). As long as you don’t hit the tail you should be doing decent damage and he’ll eventually go down.
imba hammers work best. Well upgraded dual swords are good too, since you get hyper armor against a lot of his attacks during demonization. The faster weapons (SnS/LS) should work well too.
does anyone play online with ps3 using adhoc party?
if so PM me for some games if you dont mind playing with someone using HR1-3 gear. I’m no nub but I just started my character again so Im using nub gear and all the rooms made online are for geared out people:sad:
until the PSP iterations get online multiplayer, I’m not buying one again…
Only played the first PSP game. It’s pretty cool. 
Don’t see it mentioned here but there is a manga based on Monster Hunter running in Japan called Monster Hunter Orage. It was done by one of the assistants on One Piece, so it looks a lot more like One Piece than it does Monster Hunter lol! There’s a scanlation and it almost seems like the manga is coming to an end, hard to say. Could just be the end of the first arc, don’t know how long it’s going to run. Doubtful that the manga will ever get a proper US release since Monster Hunter is way more popular in Japan then it is here. Oh well, enjoy! :tup:
