Got some players helping me level upā€¦I thought monsters were supposed to have scaled-up health when fighting multiple players. Iā€™m playing hr4 quests with hr 5 and 6 players with a g-ranker sniping with light bowgun, and we finish slaying quests in less than 10 minutes.

They are scaled up, but only to the number of players. It doesnā€™t factor in the gear each player is wearing. That G Rank LBG user couldā€™ve soloā€™d those quests.

I believe you. Every time the monster tried to get away, heā€™d shoot it like 3 - 4 times and it would collapse, and weā€™d all just continue the beatdown. Good times.

monster hunter has never had dynamic scaling for multiplayer, and it probably never will.

Thatā€™s probably for the best. Iā€™m seeing dudes ranked higher than me getting carted because they donā€™t have the sense to withdraw from the fight and take a potion or 2ā€¦their health was like 20% before they got that last hit. They had plenty of opportunities to heal. Damn glory hounds.

They could be using Skills that give them damage buffs when their Health is lowā€¦ Or they just suck lol.

Iā€™m thinking they do the low health buff because they suck and know it. Also, discovered that you must complete your own urgent quest. Helped someone beat the pink rathian quest, only to discover I still have to do mineā€¦and the room disbanded.

Yea, thatā€™s the annoying part. You join a room, help everyone do their Urgent, then they bail on yours. Itā€™s best to create your own lobby for it to make sure yours gets done, or join a room where theyā€™re farming that monster anyway.

Anybody get the feeling that players focus too much on ranking up too much/fast? Iā€™m finding myself in situations where with my normal health (after I cart), Iā€™m getting one-shotted by creatures like the pink rathian. Itā€™s nice, finding new materials and stuff for weapons and armor, but offline, I canā€™t really do shit except for the old ā€œkill 5 of theseā€, or slay this one big monster youā€™ve been killing since hr2ā€¦I still canā€™t solo a Zinogre. Iā€™ve got to go back and actually learn stuff. I realize Iā€™ve only been okay online because these monsters werenā€™t specifically targeting me.

All Iā€™m waiting for is another MH game for the Wii U. I canā€™t get with the 3DS. I want to but, my eyes say otherwise.

Itā€™s most likely because most players already know what Gear sets they want, and all those gear sets are sitting on G Rank monsters.

No point in doing anything besides the key quests and urgents if you can coast all the way through High Rank with a good team.

Also, still have yet to get the Samus armor. :expressionless:

Just gotta learn how to fight the monsters.

G rank is where you need to go to get your gear. Low rank and High rank you just pick a random set and just upgrade it until you hit G rank, then you go get what you really want.

Me neitherā€¦ The stupid quests require high as ranks and people to farm them with. Iā€™m only like G2 right now.

Why havenā€™t we all hunted together yet, btw?

I havenā€™t played in awhile and really donā€™t have time between Marvel Heroes, Heroes of the storn, and rocket league.

No one ever suggested it. I tried getting people together and even made a Skype group, but only Josh and @2-D ever played.

I still play. Had that Samus set for awhile nowā€¦its ass. Last I checked I was Hr123? Canā€™t remember.

Stop playing with randoms?
That, or develop better team synergy regarding healing/support stuffs, IMO.

Yeahā€¦ Guy couldā€™ve gone low health threshold for atk boost (who knows?), but what were the other people doing, especially if they werenā€™t engaging the monster? Pretty sure someone couldā€™ve popped a lifepowder/wide-area healing item assist, or something.

Stuff like that happens.
Roll with a better group, I suppose.

What weapon you running?
Like, do you feel that you arenā€™t doing enough (dmg) against a monster, or are you getting overwhelmed by their attack (pattern) stuffs?
