Sooo…anybody try out the Metroid DLC yet?

Trying to get this Seregios Lens is the worst. Managed to make that G Rank Zinogre shiz, doe. It’s almost funny how often I get shit I’m not looking for. Rathalos and Tigrex mantle on one run of the Azure Rath/Tigrex quest, as well as a second Zinogre Skyemerald while farming the big bastard.
Good talk guys.
Didn’t see your post up there until now. To answer your question, I think you’ve gotta be at least G Rank (G2, I think) to do the quests. Yian Garuga for the cannon materials and Shrouded Nerscylla for the armor.
Upon further research, some of the pieces you need for the Varia Suit, as well as the Zero Suit, suffer from a goofy ass 5% drop rate. Only thing that’d be annoying for the cannon are the Cosmicite Ores.
My dick just destroyed 3 pairs of expensive jeans.
That armor was looking kinda nice till I realized the damn thing didn’t have a single gem slot. Not. One. Better have a damn good talisman or weapon with slots for it if you plan running with it.
jaw just fuckin’ drops
Imma try to help that come true. That game looks ALL kinds of fun. This is why I love Soul Sacrifice. The crazier superhuman feats you can do, the more screen-filling power you can toss around against large creatures, the better.
Small quandry: Playing 4, just started doing expeditions, wrecking Great Jaggi’s cuz I hold a grudge*…LOVIN’ IT! Now, since I have a grasp on how the game is played, what would be worth my time: going back and trying to also getting into MHFU on my vita with what I know in the hopes that I can actually enjoy it now, or just picking up a copy of MH3, and occasionally making progress on that?
Oh, and 3’s “computer controlled hunters”…are they human hunters like your character, or are they those little ooga booga pygmy-looking dudes on the game’s cover? Cuz I find those little shits offensive somehow, and apparently I’m not the only one, hence the switch to Felyns as partners in 4.
*don’t look at me like that. THEY started it!
I’d just stick with MH4 until MHX comes out. Really no reason to go back to a previous one unless you’re just really really bored.
I guess…I just feel like I might be missing out on something. I read you can hunt underwater in 3.
It was pretty shitty and only a few monsters used it. You really aren’t missing anything at all.
Underwater fights are just fucking awful. You’re not missing anything by not experiencing them in MH3.
Tried MHFU, since I bought it last year…wow…this shit sucks ass compared to 4. It’s like playing Silent Hill 1 when you could be playing RE Revelations 2.
I could probably go back and play MHFU and enjoy it.
Probably do another ‘single weapon class’ run again, or something. This time around, on PSVita, lol.
MH3U though… I still kinda want to play it sometime.
Wat.
Is that even an apt comparison to make between those two games, which are from different companies?
MHFU is the ST of MH, git gud scrub.
I mean, it’s not BAD…but I feel so limited, and the combat feels like either I’m fast and WAY too weak (twin sabers), or have decent strength, but a sleepy turtle (every other bladed weapon). And is it me, or when you get knocked down in MHFU, do you get knocked farther, roll more times, and take longer to rise? Little velocidromes knocked me like 16 feet, ass over elbows from a simple pounce, like I weigh only 80lbs.
Same genre. It fits. If it’s a problem, then RE3 compared to RE R2, only disregard the controls cuz MHFU and MH4U have the same controls and movement doesn’t change or feel clunky in either game. Combat, on the other hand…
The entirety of the Rath family line (Rathians in particular) are some of the most annoying fucks in the game. The things adjust position and suddenly I’m flat on my ass.
