Too bad most people don’t make use of it. Getting stunned while in low health gets so many people killed.

holy shit it just keeps getting better… I’m making my way through slowly but surely-- HR 9 or 10 at this point… just met Odagaron for the first time; that thing is SO fast and agile… I’ve managed to actually kill him 2 times so far…one of them was with random folks when I responded to an SOS.
…and I just can’t resist the allure of some real damage… I’ve been solely focused on Switch-Axe for a while now. The damage you can serve up with that is serious, considering how surprisingly fast its attacks are. I also have a monkey-man/demon looking mask now, made from “Odie” there.
…last mission was such an epic showdown… I spent sooo much time fighting this thing (Odie)… then once he was down there was the awkward pause as I realized the mission was still going… I had forgotten that Great Girros was the target of this quest! I was thinking surely I’ve wasted too much time with how long it took to fight and chase after the other one… and it came down to the last 10 minutes or so but I found and killed him too. Sheeeeit, I’ve been on this game for at least 8 or 9 hours straight today… [just checked my time–total played = 52 hours, 30 minutes]

For some reason, the cats that’s suppose to give me the flashfly trap in the ancient forest don’t show up. I filled the research bar with the doodles, found the camp at area 17 and know where they are located but they don’t appear. Did I miss a step or something?
Did you chase him around the forest first?
You need to talk to the Felyne Researcher in Expedition mode. He will ask you to find them which will trigger a kind of mini-quest where your palico chases one with you while shouting at it. Beyond that I don’t know.
Took down Vaal and Teostra today. Vaal was easy as pie, got him on my first run (well, second, I abandoned the quest as soon as the cutscene played first tiem). Teostra was a bitch though, failed a ton of times. kinda annoying that his only good weakspot for gunners is the head.
I had a good group yesterday night. Joined an sos and we took down Kirin relatively easy. Now I can start making and anti lightning build.
Holy shit, I am never gonna be able to look at Teostra alpha and not laugh, since it looks like Affinity’s avatar.
I just got the affinity booster and apothecary mantle. I believe I’m getting pretty close to getting the rocksteady mantle but I want to do a bit more farming first.
