Brings lots of Flash Pods and Flashbugs so you can craft more on the fly. If you run out and use your Radial shortcut menu to select a Flash Pod, it’ll automatically make another one for you; you’ll have to equip it right after though, as it won’t automatically equip to your Slinger after crafting. Elder Seal is useful as well for getting rid of the wind aura it puts on itself, but if you don’t have a good Elder Seal weapon, be on the look out for Dragon Pods to shoot at it. The fight is annoying but manageable. If you are soloing and bringing your Palico, bring the horn gadget if you have it; the Stun Resist buff will help you from getting combo’d into a cart.

Just to add as this happened to me last night…if the game keeps reverting to the default items in the radial menu.
The best thing to do is to you have to customize the radial menu, then save the loadout!
man. that wind dragon is obnoxious. whats a good method for farming flash bugs? can i cultivate them?
You can cultivate them. I’ve never had to go out for an expedition to farm them, although I do pick them up if I see them during a hunt.
Teostra is the elder dragon giving me trouble. The battle is pretty simple before it starts abusing it’s AoE attacks. The one attack in particular where it curls up in the air and explodes always manages to kill me. The radius on it is bullshit.

It’s crazy, after all these years I shit on teostra the hardest out of all the elder dragons in world. I know his tells and moves so damn well, lol.

You can cancel that with a flashpod or block it as well.
The biggest thing I’d suggest with Teostra is bring fireproof mantle and use fire resistance decorations.
Be aware of what the blast affliction is as well and how to remove it.

Got Kushala on my first run today.
Breaking the horn on Kushala feels harder than getting a gem.

Switch axe, bow and gunlance make that an easy affair.

Nerg armor comes close, but they’re a bit lower cut.
I just found out party members or your cat can punch you to remove stun. My cat just waltzes up and smacks me lol.
