I’m starting to get into the real bullshit quests. Hunting a high rank Rathalos and Azure Ratholos ain’t fun.

Try Gold Rathian and Silver Rathalos at the same time in an arena on top of a tower.
It’s time consuming. Nothing can kill me, not even Nerg. Killing it back is slow as hell because I don’t have final tier weapons yet.
Still at HR7 haven’t finished the Vale. Taking my time just doing side stuff and jumping into people’s SOS flares to help out.
Also, it’ll end up tossed into storage soon, but I completed the Anja set just because I’ve liked the way it looked since the beta. Stamina and special ammo bonuses are just icing on the cake.
I beat the last storyline mission.
On to 9 Star Quests. Oh boy.
Managed to capture 3 monsters so far… I was kinda pissed because I was doing a optional mission (hunting 2 at a time) and another monster went and fucking killed the monster that i was softening up… oh well…
I finally got the Uragaan Ruby. Spent all day farming it.
Oh man I just got to the everstream and saw dodogama. HES SUCH A GOOD BOI I love him.i had to go to sleep so I didn’t try fighting him. Is he meant to be a legit monster or he like the great Jaggi/volvidon of the everstream?
Took 45 minutes to take down Odogaron solo. Stupid thing kept running all over the place, which took forever for me to catch up. Hornetaur mail was a lifesaver getting through all that gas.
Can someone explain how i capture a monster? I use up my 1 pitfall trap and my 1 shock trap and if i don’t get them on those 2 tries then it’s GG?

You have to use tranquilizer bombs on an almost dead monster while they’re in the trap.
I’ve wasted like 20 shock traps.

I’m pretty sure the game hasn’t anywhere stated that i am required to use tranq bombs to catch monsters.

I’m sure the guy who gives you your first capture quest explains to you how to do it and the pop up prompt when you begin your first capture quest.
The game tells you exactly how to capture a monster on your first capture quest but I’m sure you just forgot. I skimmed over that tutorial since I’ve played the games before. The blue supply box also gives you free stuff to capture monsters in capture quests.
I’m afraid to use the wishlist feature in the armory. I feel that the desire sensor will work overtime to fuck me if the game is aware of what I need.
Christ this is my first MH game and I can’t stop playing. Most fun I’ve had since PSO! I swear it’s in my bloodstream. Loving the light bowgun right now.
I’m HR 11 on the hard mode Anjanath quest with some blue Zorah gear, but the diablos gear looks way cooler… should I put armor points into the diablos gear even though it says it’s low rank? The Zorah gear won’t let me upgrade for some reason.
