Screamers + Gunpowder = Sonic Bombs. Throw in vicinity if in sand & it will pulled out like a fish outta water for you to go ham on til it gets up again. Repeat til dead.

Also, mean little piece of knowledge: if it gets to the runaway state, bring giant bombs that you can place right under it while it’s sleeping. BOOM…should be ready for carving after that. LOL

Capcom detailed six major new elements about Monster Hunter XX, which is a followup to Monster Hunter Generations (which is known as Monster Hunter X in Japan). They are:

[] New Hunting Styles – The “Brave Style” hunting style (continuous attacks, powerful link attacks and quick evasions) and the “??? Style” (details to be announced in the future).
[] New Hunting Techniques – New “Hunting Techniques” have been added to all 14 weapon types. Details will be announced in the future.
[] Prowler Mode Actions Enhanced – Prowler Mode actions have been enhanced. Felynes can now evade by a hair, as well as do a trample jump.
[] New Fields – New fields have been added, such as “Igun Peak.” This is a location very high in the mountains, where there’s a cave, waterfall, and historic ruins. There are other new fields, too, such as a desert.
[] New Base – The “Ryuushiki Ship” appears as a base that has all the elements of both a village and a ship. You can also take on G-rank quests from here.
[] New Main Monsters – The new main monsters in Monster Hunter XX are “Ouma Diablos” and “Balfark.” The former is a dangerous monster with large, parting horns, while the latter is a silver-winged monster whose wings can change form.

“Brave Style” is an offensive hunting style focused on continuous attacks, in which you can only equip one hunter art. The style comes with a “Brave Gauge” that fills as you parry monster attacks. When it’s full, you can activate your “Brave State.”

In your charge state, you can parry and perform cancel attacks. The latter can be used to easily fill up the Brave Gauge by great amounts to quicker activate Brave State.

In your Brave State, your evasiveness with some weapon types increases, and you can use the powerful link attacks and special techniques of each weapon type. Your Brave Gauge will always decrease while in Brave State, so it’s important to continuously land attacks to keep it filled.

The following moves will become available:

[] “Strong Charged Moving Slash” – Uses a great sword and unleashes a charged attack while moving.
[] “Step Shot” – Shoots a special bullet with the light bowgun while stepping.
[*] “True Charge” – Uses a hammer and unleashes an additional charged attack from the standard charged attack, and then one more super powerful charged attack.
[/list]

Another new style is the “Renkin Style.” We’ve seen this style lifting a barrel-like object, but other than that details are unknown.

Finally, here are some tidbits from an interview in the magazine:

[] The director of Monster Hunter XX is Daisuke Ichihara, and the main planner is Takurou Hiraoka. Both served as planners on Monster Hunter Generations. Yasunori Ichinose, the director of the previous game, is providing concept supervision and work flow.
[] They’re not adding a “G” to the title this time because “X” (Cross) is a special character. Since it’s a special game, it gets a special name.
[] Balfark is an ancient dragon-type monster who lives in a super high altitude area. He’ll incorporate elements that you normally wouldn’t be able to imagine.
[] Balfark and Ouma Diablos are both connected to the main story.
[] The concept of “Brave Style” was to make a sharper (precise) hunting style.
[] “Brave Style” is geared more for veteran players, and it’ll be different from what we had in “Adept Style”.
[] The “Renkin Style” is intended for people who want to vigorously enjoy hunting.
[] Many new elements are being prepared, more than what has already been shown.

Monster Hunter XX is due out for 3DS in Japan on March 18. Development is currently 70 percent complete.

All I want is the core MH titles to come to the ps4. Or the switch, I don’t care. The main reason I only played 4U for under 40 hours is because I just couldn’t keep playing on the 3ds anymore. Shit was giving me hand pains. I’m patiently waiting for a console release…and I know generation Z is coming but it looks a bit lame for some reason.
