Already fought Kulve multiple times on console, she’s definitely a bit more difficult!!
I had upgraded the Kjarr Ice, and will do Taroth Blitz Support LBG.
After that I’m going for the rest of her armor, as it is gorgeous!!
BUT THE REAL AMAZING THING OF THIS TITLE UPDATE IS…
It’s on now! I’ve just been perusing the game to learn the environment and just doing some of the investigations to practice. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see how the charge blade is considered difficult to use.
The only other weapon I am remotely interested in is the Light Bow Gun.
Yes sir. PSN ID is the same as my name here. I’ll warn you that I’m in BS mode at the moment
The Guardian Armor is ridiculously OP at the lower level. I am now starting to see weapons that are close to the raw damage amount as the Defender Shield 1. I did upgrade it to Defender II so there is a jump to get there. Nothing is touching that armor though.
Is not that is difficult to use, is more like its ceiling is one of the highest. So ultimately you can do big brain IQ plays with it as oppose to idk just activate demon mode with dual blades and mash attack
This may be an over-simplification but this is what I saw:
Hit stuff till phials charge
Store Phials
Ax mode >>Beat his ass
or
Hit stuff till phials charge
Store Phials
Charge Shield
Hit stuff till phials charge
Ax mode >>Beat his ass
or
Hit stuff till phials charge
Store Phials
Charge Shield
Hit stuff till phials charge
Charge Sword
(for 2:45 seconds)
Beat his ass so bad your sword is steaming!
Store phials
DESTROY!!!
Can’t argue with that part. Knowing that sweet spot is an awesome tactic.
But that’s almost all weapons. They all have very specific things to keep in mind and learn that keep the skill ceiling high for all of them.
And I’m not comparing to SAED only spam. I’m just talking about the actual skill ceilings of weapons. Look at the shit Hachimitsu Yuuta for Lance and Natsume for DB too. The skill ceiling is just as high on simpler input weapons. It’s just in different areas
all games and hence characters aren’t created equally. Think of fighting games, there are tiers and while sure playing a top tier character also requires you to learn and be skillful etc you can’t compare some characters to others. Some have obscene priority, block stun and/or active frames while others are working with very little to compete on the same level. At least appreciate the irony of me using fighting games comparison and the fact that this is a Capcom game. Not all weapons have “same ceiling skill” or are “equally skilled”. That’s idk very ignorant or naive. Not gonna pull a Po and derail much further on this but cmon games aren’t made this way, i think you know this
I don’t think they’re created equally. What I think is that you either over estimate CB’s skill ceiling or underestimate the skill ceiling of the others. I will correct myself and say that I do think CB has plenty high of a ceiling however. I shouldn’t have exaggerated in my first post. That said I think they’re much closer in line than what people tend to say because they look at all the mechanics and think “high skill ceiling” when they mean high skill floor.
I don’t think they’re all the same at all. Not even close. But CB is definitely not noticably higher than most other weapons because the highest heights of the skill ceiling in Monster Hunter, as opposed to fighting games, is monster knowledge and that interaction with the particulars of the weapon. And the skill ceiling there is huge. There’s almost always a way to improve for many of the weapons in the game based purely on how this game is designed.
Again I NEVER said all the weapons have the SAME skill ceiling. Not once. Not do I even pretend that’s the case. Not do I even think ALL weapons have a similar skill ceiling. But I DO think people constantly misconstrue CB’s skill floor with it’s ceiling.
For example, people constantly bring up GPs as a point but GPs are not even hard to use. Hell they’re easier to use than just rolling and weapons like Hammer and SA can ONLY avoid stuff by rolling. In those instances you actually need more skill than CB does.
That isn’t to say that GP is skill-less since of course using the GP after Roundslash is harder since it’s any the end, but even that is still made easier by the fact you can still use a morph slash from it to extend the GP frames even further. You can literally just do it early because of that. Then on the other side, of course the most efficient is to time it so you’re they’re when you need it etc.
Like I know CB has a high skill ceiling. But so does DB.
