The Monster Hunter Thread: A Whole New World

If they don’t implement a way to guarantee specific weapon drops like Safi, I refuse to fight kulve again. :triumph:

Also rapid fire normal 3 is a thing of beauty. :anguished:

If you have the HR versions you just upgrade them the devs said, IIRC

I still never got the paralysis SA! Lmao fuck kulve.

I’ll stick with safi weapons if it’s still random as fuck.

Well, it sounds like it’s going to be a totally different system. It’s not even a siege anymore, it’s a normal hunt that can simply be done with 4 people. And it’s an event slay quest now instead.

It’s possible she won’t drop weapons AT ALL but simply upgrades and maybe a new or simply MR version of her old armor set

Trying to get these Immortal Reactors…ugh!!
I may just wait for the next patch update for those to be unlocked by the elder melder.

Wouldn’t have this problem on PC… :smirk:

Was running the Zin event quest for jewels, and it’s becoming a joke. They should do something similar to the Jagras jewel event for HR or something. Yeah, I get a bunch of trash there, however the ratios to me felt a lot better compared to the Zin event for jewels. Not to mention you should get more feystone drops, their were times were I got 4 jewels only, with only one sealed which at that point almost feels worse than T3 hunts.

I’d be happy if Elder Melder exchange stuffs were as robust, like the GE:R/GE 2:RB exchange stuff system (where you could exchange various stuff for just about any specific Aragami part, across rank even), even if the exchange rate was kinda junk.

Like, I’m still sitting on pages of duplis/multis of Kulve gear (for posterity, lol), along with a pretty good stack of mats, that I’m not doing anything with, lol.

Tip 4 I did not know that!!

PC UPDATE IS LIVE:

Man, I do not want to farm this thing again.
I’m already done with Safi stuff on both console and PC, going back trying to farm Kulve is sum B.S.!!

I’m hoping they make her follow Safi rules where you’re guaranteed to get a weapon of the type you’ve equipped when claiming rewards.

They should’ve made Kulve with broken horns because that was the entire point of the previous raid prior to the one now where we can kill her.

In my opinion, that would have nicely tied in the raid to the new hunt better, and maybe it’s just me, but I must’ve been the only one drooling over that new female Kulve set…DAMN.

If it follows any of the newer sets now, I’m sure it will be overall pretty useful with some sick sockets and setups.

Personally, I’m not that concerned about Kulve Weapons, as I remember it was simply upgrading them with the new mats correct? Considering Kulve was my #1 most hunted monster (I know it doesn’t show, however my weapons jumped up a few hundred usages after the first Kulve event way back in the day) along with a sea of weapons still in my storage.

Can’t wait to use some of those babies being fully upgraded again.

This game just keeps figuring out ways to sucker me into stuffing more and more hours into it.

It’s like your wife who just keeps finding new amazing ways to make you nut, and just when you thought you couldn’t get it any better, she finds out another way to amaze you.

I’m going to refrain from hunting current HR Kulve, until it’s confirmed by the MHW community that the Kulve weapons are better than the current meta stuff!!

Safi stuff blows nearly all of the elemental weapons away.
And Raging Brachy is equal to the raw/blast Safi weapons!

I mean, it does have new armor so there’s still that. And don’t forget it isn’t a siege either so it won’t take multiple runs to beat either
