They fucking did it.
Beating Stygian Zinogre unlocks the recon quest for the Safi’jiiva siege. It’s only a recon though, so it runs away at the end. After that, the game confirms it as an adult Zeno.
The fight itself looks amazing and it has a vicious looking pin attack. It also has a take on Behemoth’s enmity system, and an even more epic version of ecliptic meteor
Haven’t fought it yet, but from the videos, it seems that the recon hunt doesn’t last very long, and it flies off pretty quickly. It’s take on the emnity mechanic seems interesting though. It looks like something you want to avoid, instead of how it was something you tried to get with Behemoth.
EDIT: The recon isn’t that hard, but there are hints that the full siege will be. Especially since this mfer doesn’t have any weakspots at first.
Meanwhile, Tempered Ruiner is legit. Get ready to be pepega slammed all over again.
I wonder how many times we’ll have to deal with that Tactical Nuke super when the full hunt is unlocked!!
And ah hell I forgot about tempered Runiner Nerg being unlocked!!
And of course, they gave him back the Pepega Slam!!
We now have a second railgun. R12 Stygian HBG has more raw, but trades it with higher deviation. Makes it not really good for 3 shield tank builds, but it looks like it may be meta for non tank ones.
It also mixes its ammo selection up a bit, gaining Normal 3 and Dragon in place of Normal 2 and Thunder ammo.

Outside of all the “limited-time availability” online-only event stuffs, maybe, lol.
Then, you have some PC players out there thinking that they should be entitled to said support updates on Day 1 of IB PC release, to keep up with console stuffs, or something.
I sometimes see sentiments like these pop up every now-and-then in some discussions elsewhere on the internet.
They learned from kulve, now just need to do the siege equipped with the weapons I want. Thank goodness.
Also these weapons are about to be busted…armor set bonus on your weapon??? It’ll def be the best way to snag crit status, crit element, agitator secret, masters touch or namielle bonus.
Max might possibly making its comeback too??? 
Yeah the new system definitely seems like it’s going to make those new weapons the go-to for all future content too. I wonder if they’ll end up totally invalidating augmented weapons though.
It’s cool to have an end game system to keep powering up, it just would kinda suck if it got to the point where there was no point in using other weapons. Hopefully it can be somewhat balanced somehow…
Seems like they’ll be great for raw or comfy sets, but possibly abysmal for element compared rarity10 weapons and the new augment upgrades. We also don’t know if these Safi’jiva weapon can be augmented yet.
Guesstimates at this point though. We’ll see on the 13th.
This set looks busted. 
I doubt they have OG style augments since the customization basically does that. Also, you can get multiple Augments of the same type, so the low element value may not be a problem. There’s also some other type of upgrade system supposedly that makes then stronger in some other way as well.
But yeah, we’ll have to wait and see. Suffice to say it’s not going to be super straightforward
Edit: and yeah, the set bonus as well on top of that.
Haven’t watched the vid but the health Regen works similarly to Hasten Recovery where it takes a few set amount of hits to proc I read.
It’ll be interesting if Resentment and red life recovery based skills get more desirable at least.
