Yeah, that was bad on my part.
On the Ancient Leshen, been trying to fight this guy. Two runs and it we failed…people are dying left and right. Only myself and another brought fire weaponry to fight him, and his HP pool is really high…
Tried soloing him, and it simply takes waay too long, along with how annoying he is.

I’ve been grinding Arch-Temp Vaal for the past couple of hours for the layered Death Stench armor.
Absolutely set the Fire Rune emote on your radial OR have a fire weapon. Also bring flash pods and extras. All the highest quality buffs, FULLY upgraded armor and Health Boost. Temporal and Rocksteady mantles are a massive help.

Watching TheGameconomist livestream of this fight, and he’s getting legit washed by this thing!!!
This boss is no joke. He has a vast area of attacks which is problematic and the fact that he teleports so damn much is to me the biggest issue, because he either comes out of it summoning his massive crows, or else he’ll come in waiting to land his AoE again.
Another aspect is that he’s a “humanoid” like monster making his hitboxes incredibly small, thus annoying to hit.
Only fought him 3x, and the 3rd one was the closest, however a guy died twice in a row, and decided it was too much and left the group…sigh. At the end, we lost, he trapped one of the remaining randoms, and we tried to come in to cast flame on him but got hit by an aoe and the trapped individual basically got mauled to death by the crows.
Not an easy fight atm.
I got about 4 clears now. Using Health Boost, Tool Specialist so I can get Rocksteady and Temporal more often, and Medicine Up so that I can face tank with those on and get enough HP back just from attacking. I only got those clears cause of a healer that was in the party though. He has a big supernova-like kill attack that will definitely one shot most people but you can flash him to stop it. I don’t think he ever gains flash resistance. If you have a good mounting weapon like Hammer or GS try to be near ledges and the like so you can keep doing jump attacks to his head and get some mounts.
Tried him with randoms and got 3 straight fails.
The last group had 3 longsword users…which surprisingly went alright until the 3rd phase by the beach.
The teleport spam is sum bullshit and vulture chip is ridiculous. The 2nd group I was apart of had a legit shot but it got us with the massive ground AOE!!
Yeah the last phase is even worse for the teleporting, he does it a lot.
The Slinger counter doesn’t work or work consistently against him.
And also the Reo-Vultures shield, the Witcher flame rarely does jack-shit to that.
I think I should treating it like Teostra’s flame shield, and wait for the Nova ultra attack.
Hitting the head you mean? Yeah it takes several hits now. The Dragon Pods tend to flinch him more often though. The fire emote takes a few more hits now, which makes sense since it’s 4 players. If everyone uses it, the burning animation will come way sooner.
In the last phase, he thinks he’s Dictator w/ teleport spam. I’m So happy with the new Duals that you can get, they are the Best Looking Duals in the game, not to mention the stat line on it is Amazing, Plus the white sharpness.
Ancient Leshen is no bum and the high hp pool only makes it more formidable however it’s the stupid teleporting that really makes it difficult to consistently land dps on it.
That AoE Ult is also ridiculous, so you better have your flash bomb ready to spam.

Is there some easier/alternative method of getting event items? I’m pure trash at the game, logged back in due to the Dante and Megaman skins being available. I’ve gotten a few orbs by leeching off good people but have had a lot of failures. Is there an easy mode of these fights or some other method of getting the crafting items?
Hence why, I’m dealing with this fight.
The dual blades look better than the Holy Sabers.
But yeah Ancient Leshen is not a jobber!!!
Bring high damage fire weapons, partbreaker, and a ton of flash pods.

No, the only alternate quests are harder versions lol. Just have to get better at the game. Or keep getting carried.

Thanks for the offer but I’m probably done. I’ve gotten enough playtime out of the game to be satisfied. Might play some more when the expansion drops.
There’s at least two JP hammer mains that have solo’d Ancient Leshen. The first guy uploaded a vid with Fortify and then one without using Fortify and finishes in around 40 min in both. The second guy uses Fortify and finishes in about 44 min but was also using the suboptimal Geralt armor.
