I’m actually glad Johnson put the Dillashaw “money fight” on ice because personally, I’m tired of the constant line-jumping in damn near every division in the UFC. It’s bad enough that lightweight is in limbo thanks to Lucky Charms, but this Hollywood shit the UFC is on via the WME is costing the promotion money, fans and fighters jumping ship to Bellator (shoutout to Roy Nelson).
I’m not even against line-jumping. McGregor vs. Alvarez was a fight that made sense. It’s just ridiculous that people are complaining about DJ not saying “YES DANA I LOVE YOU” to a fight with an also-ran in another division that may not be able to make weight. Oh, and why are we ok with ruining Garbrandt vs. Dillashaw suddenly? If DJ vs. TJ happens, that fight goes away.
