The mma thread. UFC Fight island is real: Everybody died

i didnt realize usman had problems with him like that til this weekend

Colby’s bitch ass already on the phone snitching. He better be glad Usman wants to smash him in the Octagon and was playing peacemaker. Colby didn’t want it. There wasn’t anyone holding him back. He’s hiding behind women. What a bitch made dude.

Forgot about this thread thanks to SRK’s horrible transition but…let’s keep it a buck. Robbie was fucked even if Herb Dean didn’t call it. You’re not getting out of a choke that deeply set in. Two, Askren’s squeezing power? It shouldn’t be questioned. If, and I mean, IF Robbie wasn’t going to sleep at the point the fight was stopped it, trust and believe in a few moments he would be. And three, please be real with me. Look at Robbie’s arm again and tell me with a straight face that it was a natural movement of DEFENDING against a choke like that. I’m all for discussions and…this thread is sort of slow, let’s be honest.

Know what wasn’t slow?

The way that arm dropped.

Gravity is fast.

I like how he insults the thread and wants to have a discussion. What is this sherdog?

I thought he meant it literally.

Like, the thread moves very slowly.

Which is pretty much all of SRK now, compared to like 5 years ago.

I mean, I hold open the possibility that he meant it the other way - people talking about how they would have stopped the fight while Askren was clearly vying for repositioning, despite Robbie repeatedly losing energy on The Chin ā„¢, but, regardless, I like to think it is just a way to get the thread’s fires stoked, as were.

No insult here. The thread doesn’t have much activity as I once feel like it used to. And with everyone trying to call into question Herb’s decision here, I just thought there would be more insight to the call.

Herb blew the call but it was understandable. What wasn’t understandable was the shitty job Marc Goddard did in the co-main event. I usually like Goddard but he was terrible. He kept resetting Woodley and Usman when Usman was active. One time Usman gave Goddard a ā€œAre you serious right now!?ā€ look.

Askren let up on his grip, when Dean went in.

Robbie had a lot more than a second to recover from the pressure that actually made him flop dead fish.

It was done.

Love him or hate him, Askren won.

Legitimately won.

No one should deny the legitimacy of that win. Although my main concern for him is his stand up game. It may just be unwarranted worry but I’m not sure a rematch against Robbie would go down the same way. Hope it does though. This guy is pretty entertaining.

Not sure why that quoted you, Darc. My bad. It was just a general comment.

Nah that arm went limp. Herb made the right choice.

And honestly bulldog chokes getting better as neck crank/blood chokes
He would not need be under the chin to put robbie down

And i am a robbie mark so…
