The MMA Thread. BJ Penn Didn't Die #HeDeadThough

I still have faith that Kid could do well. As long as he works on his TDD and his striking, he should be fine.

neon tiger raped him.

He’s fighting Demetrius Johnson for he debut fight, so I have faith he’s going to win

From what i’ve heard…brazil is a pretty fucked up place. I think that’s why more people don’t go there to train BJJ, like people go to thailand to train muay thai.

Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St-Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck (GSP by Submission)
Heavyweight bout: Stefan Struve vs. Sean McCorkle (Struve by Decision)

Welterweight bout: Thiago Alves vs. John Howard (Alvez by KO 2nd)

Seems UFC wasted no time in signing top BW/FW talent once they absorbed the WEC…Omigawa AND Kid all in the same week?? Good shit!

I feel that Omigawa and Kid (more so Omigawa) signed right away when they heard WEC and UFC were merging. I mean, I think what keeps top japanese talent in the lighter weights is that they probably get paid more in japan when compared to what the WEC was paying. I heard Omigawa was in talks for a long time before the merger, so now that its part of the UFC, pays are bigger which probably lead to a quick signing… that and Dynamite wasnt gonna pay him as much probably. If that wasnt coherent, then sorry, I’m a little out of it, Fuck being sick!

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised to see most of the lighter weight talent from Japan move to the UFC now. crosses fingers for Hatsu Hioki

I don’t want Alvarez anywhere near the UFC until he fuggin shaves his eyebrows or somethin

Naw, but dude would fuck alot of cats up if he ever signed up…he’d be right up there with the top of the division. Kawajiri on the other hand…5 years ago, I would’ve said FUCK YES! but I dunno…remembers that slugfest he had vs. Alvarez…AHH FUCK IT, HIM TOO! he got all the tools he needs to be successful, dunno if he’ll ever fight in the US tho.

Welterweight bout: **Thiago Alves **vs. John Howard TKO RD2

I just noticed that I’ve been against GSP since he fought Alves. I shouldve chosen GSP to beat Hardy but my inner love for shit talkers no homo just got the best of me.

His ass needs to hurry up to the states… probably wont be for awhile tho since he’s gonna be fighting Sandro on NYE, plus if he wins it might delay him signing longer

kids dope but i feel he waited too long…i think he may possibly be past his prime. i mean its possible im just reaching since it really was two losses…and the only serious loss to me…well the guy is the bellator champ and was gonna be a fave for the 2007 olympic wrestling squad. i guess i may be jumping the gun…though neon tiger grapple raped him…no lube.

for those of you interrested, overeem won the wgp in k1 from peter aerts with a first round ko. all the rest of the info can be found here:

(aerts schilt part 1 & 2, again same as above, above 1 below 2).

Yay, Ubereem. Also, decision over Sprong? Surprising.

fights where top notch, only fight i didnt watch was that lil *** kyotaro vs schilt. i hate that japanes ebitch, always running away with his tail bwteen his legs, fucking hoe.

spong vs overeem although a descision was in overeems favor. aerts basically took out schilt fair and square. saki beat ghitta but took a good beating resulting in giving up his match vs overeem (hed actually stand a decent chance had he been more fit). aerts got smoked in finale against uber, dont know how much of it because of his first fight agaqinst schilt. basically schilt, aerts and overeem where the luckiest to get the easiest draft in the first rounds. saki had by far the hardest first round of any of them, ghitta is one tough motherfucker. too bad bonyanski wasnt here instead of spong or kyotra or might hoe. all 3 in my eyes didnt even deserve to be there in the first place.

also the commentarry i didnt understand was not understandable, finale didnt even have sound, but the others where fucking amazing. same commentarry from last year (the official non japanese commentarry done by people like bonjanski and sefo nmext to the ring = always #1 imo). again,m fights whee fucking dope. gonna watch it on tv tonight but dutch commentarry which is actually surprisibly good (unlike their totally gay ass footbal commentarry), they actually know wtf they talking bout. still not as cool as from official fighters sitting next to the ring live, but whatever.

and aerts used to train in our town btw back in the 80’s early 90’s. fightclub is actually owned by 2 guys i know (coku & ubeda), 1 from our town and one from nijmegen a town 15 km from us. good friends of my uncle and dad. coku even trained aerts back i the day. his younger brothe was actually world chamion taekowndo back in the days (gives lessons here for the last 20+ years or so).

edit: i dont know sharedog, but they gas as fuck for hating on uber. fucking haters.

2 thngs issing fromthe k1 wgp? badr haru and remy bonjanski. if these 2 had hoetaro and mighty hoe’s spots the tourney would have been one of if not the best one ever feauturing the strongest fighters of that respective year. the 3 i mentioned really didnt deserve to even be there, even spong who was the strongest of the 3 weakest was not worthy imo. badr, remy & another strong fighter would have been wa more ineterresting (and way more fair, cause everybody would have had a hard fight in their first rounds instead of just sako having a hard fight.)

The tourney might’ve been completely different had Badr Hari & Bonjansky entered, but I was hyped as fuck to see Overeem win that shit…I stayed up til 7am watching that shit, could barely keep my eyes open, lol. The Semmy/Aerts fight was fight of the night for me, shit was amazing watching him basically dismantle this 4 time K1 champ GET EM PETER, GET EMMMMM!!
