Bottom line is that Nick Diaz is either smart and scared or painfully stupid when it comes to fighting. He keeps on either blowing or sabotaging himself when it comes to working his way to the top. No excuses for Nick Diaz. There’s something wrong with him and he doesn’t deserve to be at the top of the UFC’s Welterweight Division until he’s straight.
This is a funny story about a brazilian show I didn’t know existed but sounds kinda cool. It’s also great to hear from a brazilian on how they view jones as opposed to us english speakers and I must admit I agree with him on jones’ attitude and personality.

The problem isn’t the weed. Nobody’s saying that Nick Diaz’s problem is that he smokes weed. Like I said, I think you can make a case that he’s the new Junie Browning with a pretty clear fear of success. Again, he has sabotaged two title fights in a row.

Unfortunately, as with most professionals, you’re only as good as your last performance. A lot of casual fans didn’t know about him before, and I’ll give you two guesses if they want to find out any more about him now.

Do you not think that more casual fans were earned by Diaz that night? Whether for the right or wrong reasons is debatable, but the fact still stands. Like has been said time and time again, love or hate someone because of what they do, as long as you know about them.
Some people love Brock and want him to win, some people hate him and want him to lose - everyone wants to see him fight. When a guy is as crazy as Diaz was in the ring - cursing, taunting, flicking the opponent off, bitch-slapping, taking a body shot and dancing afterwards, and the list goes on - casuals saw him that night and went “I love this guy!” or “Fuck this cocky bitch!”, but hardly anybody went, “meh.”
I don’t think people liked Tim Sylvia when he was champion, much less now that he was KO’d by Ray Mercer (the same guy Kimbo subbed. Yes, subbed. ) in like 10 seconds.
I was happy when he beat Pudz that one time, though.
