I understood it perfectly (some people stay stayin’ mad, I guess?), and agree with it. I think if you’re fighting, and you have a title in the weight class you’re fighting in, it should be for your title. But, ah well - maybe they get more exciting matches when the champs aren’t worried about playing it safe to keep their titles?
They definitely have some awesome highlights at the end of almost every event, though.
Bellator has alot of non title fights. Usually during the tourney the champs have non title tilts against some can. I’m almost sure what they do for some is make it a “catch weight” fight like 2-3 lbs over the actual weight. I could be wrong but I think Joe Soto/Josh Neer fight was one.
