The MMA Thread. BJ Penn Didn't Die #HeDeadThough

2nd time

I’m being harsh on Rampage, there were actually a few things I did like about the new him. Head movement was great, when he kicked low it worried Jones. Cardio was great, another round I think Jones would have been in trouble. Rampage just needs to work on his angles, everything he does in moving forward in a straight line and throwing haymakers.

Mark Hunt won im happy lol

why must you cut me so deep. r.i.p neon tiger

Glad I’m not the only one happy to see Warren get what he deserves

 nice Dolphin dive by the ref

Angles, jabs, straights and some footwork would help Rampage alot. Like you said he has the head movement, he just needs to build from there.

Yeh hopefully he wont be short sighted and will stay at the musclepharm gym, he can only get better

Ok it all makes sense now.

Case of the sad’s at Neon Tiger.

we bow our heads to the baddest man on the planet.

It’s funny how Palhares is always in some sort of wierd situation. The guy seems like a really humble person. He just likes to take one of your limbs with him when he is in a fight. I would love to see him fight Chael though.

FYI, apparently growing up, Palhares was so poor, at one point he had to resort to eating pig feed:

Great little article about Rousimar. I encourage everybody to watch some of his pre UFC fight with the likes of Fabio Negao and Daniel Acacio. There is a reason you should fear his leg locks8-)

Thought the UFC card was pretty good, I’m hyped Mizugaki won. Mark Hunt v Rothwell was weird, I thought that Rothwell was going to pass out late in the third round he was dead tired. Never liked Matt H or Kos so I didn’t really care about that match. Jones was on top of his game, I don’t think that Rashad will beat him. The only problem with watching a Jones fight is the fact that Goldberg and Joe are just slobbering all over his nuts; I mean we watch the events we all know Jones has serious talent just call the damn match.

DREAM was alright. Aoki won which makes me happy, First round of Hellboy Hansen v Crusher was really entertaining; Then Kawajiri decided to just wrestle and tap him out. The lowlight was that I had to once again watch Sakuraba lose another fight. They’re going to have to drag him out of the ring before he dies…

If you’re talking about the ADCC match, I don’t know what happened and can’t really say since I haven’t seen any footage. Being ignorant of rules doesn’t turn you into an automatic asshole.

As for holding submissions to long, you hold on until the ref stops it. Plain and simple.

Card was pretty good, i wanted to get on SRK so bad but of course it was down lol. Yea pretty much the rampage fight went like i thought it was gonna go. Rashad my boy but that dude Jon Jones on his way to being one of the goats real talk. I have no clue why Rashad thinks the Jones he sparred with is the same Jones currently. Oh well after Jones beats Rashad who’s left? Machida?

This cat watching bloodsport before the fight…lol.

And Matt c’mon dude why you jabbing Kos, GSP jab is better than yours.

Gomi and Hughes should think about hangin’ it up. They look shot.

Heavyweights + Denver don’t mix. Rothwell was about to have a heart attack out there.

Kawajiri would be a nice addition to UFC FW once he gets acclimated to the weight. I’ve heard he doesn’t like travelling though.

Aoki…:coffee: Wake me up when he does something new. Does anyone else thing Lorenzo Larkin has a future in the LHW division in SF and UFC?

Its not the gym thats the problem its his coaches. Hes been using the same coaches from the wolfslair and lets face it, they aren’t really the best camp. He needs to completely switch everything up get some new coaches that will have something different to offer him and a fresh take on his training. Hes the best fighter from that camp the next 2 are Bisping and Kongo, and that ain’t saying much

So what do you guys think of Hector Lombard? do you see him as the real deal or just a can crusher who hasn’t been tested?

It seems like Bellator may have a champion clause in the contract that’ll keep you under their banner as long as you hold the belt. As far as Nate goes they passed on him for one of these reasons.
[]They didn’t want him because of the bad rap he was getting at the time
[
]They didn’t want to risk having one of their champs get smashed by someone coming from the UFC

Or they didn’t want to get a rep for picking up UFC rejects
Oh and I hate that Bellator and Strikeforce couldn’t put together that Melendez/Alvarez super fight before Zuffa took over SF

Can’t believe I’m agreeing with Rock but how many times are people gonna use that tired “oh he doesn’t know the rules!” excuse huh?

Paul Harris know the rules…I think he may be the only dirty fighter I know of and I used that term very rarely.

Hector is a can crusher for sure, feed that nigga to Vitor once he heals up and see what happens.
