By that logic we’d also hate GSP for not being a dumb hoodlum, yet we generally enjoy his goofy French Canadian mannerisms. Kinda makes you think it’s more a matter of degrees, yes? Also if I had to wager on whether or not GSP would go OUT OF HIS WAY to rat dudes out for smokin pot, I’d bet against it. That’s the kind of move you make when you’re feelin high and mighty and think you’re better than someone. Otherwise, you’d just let nature take it’s course. You work hard, do your thing. They smoke pot, whatever happens to them, let it be. It’s not your business unless you make it your business, and you’d only make it your business if you felt a certain way about yourself or felt like you had something to gain. In his case, what would he have to gain besides stroking his own ego?
So in a way, the snitching is indicative of his overall personality that he’s starting to show us now. We didn’t see as much of it until he was champ, now he’s lettin it ALL hang out. NOT being a dumb hoodlum is not the same as putting yourself above people like that.
Jones interview with Bas was great! You don’t have any bullshit in it just pure talk time and I really feel like Jones has a good grip a the world around him. People keep coming up with reason why he thinks he’s better than everyone but I think he just knows what he can be and people don’t like that he knows lol.
I really feel like he’ll a future legend with his mindset that he knows he can be beat and won’t get baited by Rampage trolling him. He says that he knows Rampage is baiting him which just proves he’s not as naive as the haters hope and will stick to a rock solid plan. **Jones says Rampage hasn’t knocked anyone out in a while and thinks Rampage has rested on his talents for too long and it will comeback to bite him. **
Bones says he has more tools and unpredictablity is his biggest advantage. Bas says Rampage can’t really train for him because no one fights like him and compares him to Dom Cruz in that regard, Jones agrees.** Bones says he knows himself and says he knows where he and Rampage suck and will use that to his advantage.**
**Jones says he respects Page and his experience and he knows thats a real advantage that he has to make up for with a better gameplan to throw him off.**Jones says he is gonna give a “mixed martial arts performance” this makes Bas happy. Jones says he’s not scared at all and he plans on using Rampage’s weapons and abilities against him.
The inside MMA interview really has me confident that Bones will win. He plans on finishing Page and being the first to do it.** He really doesn’t want a decision win and says his goal is to be one of the greatest fighters ever then says he “is on a good start” with being champ so young.** He seems confident and not afraid of Rampage without seeming cocky or like he’s overlooking him. Good interview imo.

Page says more about the dumb spy thing then it gets much more interesting**. He says he expects fancy tricks and takedowns and how he knows what to do to stop it**. Then he talks about how he has really got back into training and has been years since he trained this hard and Jones isn’t ready for a motivated Rampage.
He says he almost quit and didn’t care about MMA at all for awhile. He says Jones should be in acting as he’s great at it, then he says he has never lost when in this good of shape. Rampage says Jones might cry when he loses lol but then gets real and says he doesn’t hate Jones and respects his work ethics.
He basically says Jones is the future and he is for real but Rampage is the present and Jones doesn’t have enough fight experience to beat him. Rampage says the most important thing above all else is to have no regrets about this fight and he expects Jones to gas.
Overall I liked this as he really wants to prove the people who doubt his fighting spirit wrong. Page sounded like he thinks this is his last big run at the belt imo with the “no regrets” stuff when’s the last time he said that??? I don’t think Rampage hates Jones and is really hyping the fight with the trash talk as he is a little quick to praise him imo. But I liked that he has been training hard and** is looking to press Jones and try to gas him out, good plan lets see if he can stick to it.**
I was watching that UFC event with some random people and they were saying that the fight card sucked. Am I crazy or was that card the exact opposite of sucked?
I’d like to see Jones/Machida. But Rashad seems like he has Jones downloaded. I think Rashad is going to be the one that catches him when he goes for something unorthodox and cool, like a flying omaplata or something.
People thinking Rashad will beat Jones are goofy as hell. Jones hasn’t trained with Rashad in like a year and a half and Jones isn’t even close to being complete yet, he is constantly adding new things to his game. Rashad has done a good job convincing idiots he has a shot even tho Jones has raped every smaller wrestler he’s ever faced.
I love how Jones makes the haters eat crow my god its so funny. Very classy post fight interview by Jones, especially considering all the shit rampage said about him. Loved how Jones got revenge by dumping Rampage on his damn head then seeing Jaclson look back at Jones like " why you do that?" made me spit out my pop laughing my damn ass off!!!
