lol who the fuck is ahead of the line than mendez?
The whole shoulder defense thing was pretty sick. Looks like Rashad could potentially have a new boxing coach in Hopkins.
Akiyama is starting to look like a goddamn Mishima now.
wonder how bernard is as a coach…as a fighter…he’s a damn super saiyan
He would probably do wonders to Rashad’s hand offense and defense in about 3-4 months of training. Jon Jones is gonna go to sleep alot sooner now.
Who are you talking about?
Naw, Jones will just one up Rashad. Rashad gets Hopkins to coach his boxing, Jones will probably get Freddy Roach or Emanuel Stewart.
sorry haven’t been keepin up
But does strikeforce allow Strikes to the back of the head?
-Thats what those hits looked like to me in the Fedor fights…
Can’t wait for the fights tomorrow
Are they gonna be free or PPV?
Free Stay at home
PPV… BWW and skeez on breeziez
B-Hop is gonna make one HELL of a coach once he retires at sixty-ten years old
Rashad has never looked better, physically, I fear for Tito…
Freddie Roach wont help the two step jab Jones does every damn time or that weird ass stance he has
I’m gonna tune into UFC133 for one match only and that’s the match where Akiyama gets raped by Belfort. Lol at Akiyama thinking about moving to welterweight. He’s not even a draw anymore and he thinks Dana is gonna keep him around for that. Not to mention his cardio is shitty enough as it is without having to lose another 15 pounds.
Thinking about it though, I’m pretty sure the reason most fighters in MMA square up instead of taking a boxing stance like that one is to better defend takedowns. If you shoulder block and turn your side to someone, it makes it that much harder to sprawl out or get hooks to keep yourself up. Correct me if I’m wrong though, I don’t train dat UFC =’(
Throwing the right on the run like that without stopping and setting up could probably work for Rashad though, especially with the smaller gloves. Even more so if they’re watching elsewhere to look for a telegraphed punch to shoot under.
I’m not even sure where the boxing thread is at this point lol, I’ll just leave this here.
Hey don’t be mad just cuz your boyfriend is getting impotent. He still hasn’t won a single fight in believable fashion ever since he got signed by UFC. At this point he’s like the Tito Ortiz of the middle weight division. Just there to make whoever beats him look good. But hey at least Tito turned into an animal when his back was against the wall. Against Belfort and walking papers, Akiyama will probably get murdered with minimum effort.
oh wow. i wanna see this. ive read somewhere barenuckle boxing is very very different because of the lack of gloves obviously. i think i read there was more body shots, which would make sense seeing those oldtime pics of fighting stances where arms seem to be partly protecting solar plexus. when is this happening? couldnt find when in the article
stoked about this fight, I think it’s going to be a good one. I’m pulling for Tito in this one.
Historically (past and present), are there any heavyweights that have a great gas tank (can last 5 rounds while still being able to keep up the pace)? The only ones I can think of are Fedor, and Big Nog.
Yeah, I meant to say to the limit rather than 5 rounds (I forgot that Pride had the 10-5-5 system). I’m sure that the more you weigh, the harder it is to be able to keep up a solid pace, so I was looking for anyone that was the exception to the rule. Is Brock the only “big” HW (250+ pounds) that has great conditioning?
brocks shown his gastank doesnt really last well near the end of 3rd rounds…i think cain too.
