The MMA Thread. BJ Penn Didn't Die #HeDeadThough

Meh. Bobblehead by TKO in the second.

In the words of Cedric the Entertainer, “Boy, you look just like your god damn daddy!”.

He is a clone. God damn.

I am putting my money on Dan Henderson this weekend. Even though Hendo’s the LHW champ and got 5 years on Fedor, he’s got a height advantage over fedor. I also feel Hendo’s going to be one of Fedor’s biggest challenges as he is the best wrestler he has faced with dynamite in both hands.

Fedor is going down to Hendo, H-bombs will be landing. fedor fanboys will blame his age, even though he would lose to a smaller fighter, who is older, and has been in some wars.

Fuck brett nigga can’t beat barnett then tries to choke out his wife

Fuck him for being a fucking cliche. His fault this shit happened. He probably will fight in bamma, canada, brazil, and dream now

imagining alternate reality brett rogers drinking pina colada from a coconut on a beach overlooking a giant billboard of himself with a nike sponsorship after he just beat fedor emeliankenko, his wife and kids water skiing with big smiles and waving saying “look at me dad, look at me!!!”, with a big knowing smile on his face that everythings gonna be alright from here on out

training with sprong, doesn’t make him sprong.

probably have a little bit of an affect, i guess it depends on the person on how much. It’s like game speed is always faster than practice speed…the only problem with mma is you don’t have 60 minutes or a few games to work it out. If your not up to speed real quick you could be done in 30 seconds.

What’s funny to me is that King Mo worked with Sprong and now Rashad but I will bet money that once the bell rings, they will resort to their old ways of fighting. I want to see these newfound striking techniques.

This could be very interesting. I really wish kickboxing was more popular in America but oh well.

I will never understand how MMA blew up thanks to some goofy ass reality show, and then these casual ass fans complain about the ground game even though K1 has been around FOREVER. It’s almost like the wrong sport blew up first.

I know kickboxing was huge in the 70’s and early 80’s but the rules for it was Antoine Dobson dumb. 8 kicks per round.

depends on the league, since alot of them were basically hardcore point fighting matches and some were straight american kickboxing.

Oh ok. I remember years ago I saw a match and this dude got a point taken away from him because he did nine kicks. I must note that the round was 2 minutes long and he had used up all his kicks within 30 seconds of the round starting. Speaking of leagues, does the one Chuck Norris runs still around?

but if k-1 blew up first how would mma become popular at all?

why would any layman put up with ground when you could watch some really mean k-1 matches?

wikipedia has him listed on it. I wish he’da been in Rush Hour 3 or something.

My point is it could have been either blowing up like that. Dana got the jump on it though.

Hmm… semi related to MMA I guess. The show Deadliest Warrior (puts 2 historical soldiers who have never fought generally from different time periods and tests their weapons and stuff to see who would win) has North Korean Special Forces vs US Rangers next week. Tim Kennedy is one of the representatives for the Rangers =D

That said… I think I’m kinda underestimating the North Koreans… could maybe do an upset.
