Yeah, Mike Dolce offered to work with Roy Nelson to get his weight down. He said he thinks he could get him down to middleweight if Nelson really wanted to lol.
Middleweight is a little too much. I can see him either drop down to LHW or just drop the fat and try to build up muscle weight to compete in HW.
Its funny because in all the times they show Roy training for his fights, its always either hitting the mitts or grappling with someone. Never lifting a single weight. But hopefully Roy actually listens and loses some fat and gains muscle since I can see him being cut after 1 more loss.
I was reading somewhere (forget) that it might not be such a good idea for him to move to LHW since its full of good strikers with takedown defense. Considering Roy Nelsons takedowns are not that great and he relied on controlling people with his belly… I can see why someone would think that.

Roy should stay at HW, losing weight isnt his problem, its turning the weight he has into something that isnt mostly useless.

Kenny Florian has a pretty big reach and height advantage vs Nunez when I watched the MMA Live breakdown of the fight. He did look pretty drawn out… but cant argue with like a 7 inch reach advantage or whatever it was.
