Anyone thing Hamil has a chance in hell? In my heart of hearts, I hope its competitive. I would love to see a flash knockout in Hamil’s favor, so I’m actually going for both guys.
I love Mir as the technician, however I can’t not bet on the big fat guy. I wish to see how far Roy will actually take it in the UFC.

I think Hammil has a great chance. Rashad gave the blueprint to wrasslers on how to hold down Rampage.
Explosie takedown, top control, avoid the KO. Dont really try to finish, just prevent him from standing with you.
However, Rampage, SHOULD be able to absolutely squash Hammil.
Rampage has so much natural talent for fighting, but his training camps and motivation has always been his Achillies heel.
Rampage always says he has great training camps, he never does, he never has good training partners, and it is incredibly apparent that he is less and less motivated.
Motivated Rampage with good training partners and camp… god… how I wish.
Roy is just as good as Mir on the ground.
Has a better gas tank. (srs? rly? but yes, fat man does)
Has a better chin.
Striking is fairly even, I think id give the edge to Mir slightly due to his greater variety of strikes, but fat boy has a big right hand.
I think the people that give Hammil NO shot at all are the ones that are basing this fight on Rampage’s skill set and past work. But it’s not really based on that, it’s based on where his head is at. Can he defend Hammil’s takedowns and score counters easily in the standup? Yeah, he could. He might. He’s capable of it. Does that mean he’s going to? Who the fuck knows? He could be halfway back to movietown in his brain and just get held down for 3 straight rounds.
Rampage SHOULD win this fight, and that’s why he’s such a heavy favorite. But it doesn’t mean he WILL win this fight, if he sleeps on Hammil he’ll get wrestlefucked straight back to Hollywood.
EDIT: And besides that, I think that’s the fight I’m least interested in on this card anyway. All the other fights sound really solid.
