I will agree with you that Shogun didn’t come prepared, but that’s simply because he underestimated Jones. The Shogun we saw looked more like the Shogun that fought Coleman the second time around.
I doubt Shogun will lose his rematch with Griffin if he comes prepared.

So true about the basic martial arts thing. I was reading some comments on a MA site from some “MMA heads” and they were saying that learning karate or a TMA was stupid and pointless because you will never get out none of those kicks. 
Then someone posted the majority of the fighters, who are champions or contenders, that are martial artist. GSP even said there is a difference between a martial artist and a fighter and from what I seen with that fight last night, dude in the gray was a fighter. One of the guys I train with is going to compete in Grappler’s Quest at the expo and go watch the fights. He’s actually the guy that got me into training, the one that beat me in the finals of the tournament at the end of last year.
I hope he does well. If you happen to hear Flloyd Moxam being mentioned and you’re at the expo, see if you can watch his fight and tell me what you think :P.
