The Melty Blood : Act Cadenza (PS2) thread~

Ah man. Sorry to hear you’re quitting the MB scene Sp00ky. Sucks to hear that they dropped the US MBAC team for SBO '07. But I guess that shows how much of an impression the game has made so far in the US prior to the launch of the PS2 version. If there’s any chance of the US making it next year, there’s gonna need to be a serious MB uprising for this year so that there can be even a slight chance of that happening. Either way, I am very glad to have met you at NEC and I hope to see you, Sayid and other MB players in your area sometime again.

Woah sp00ky is quitting? Gah that cant be good. Thats like sitting in a chair, and having the chair taken from right under you. Hopefully nobody else will get discouraged. I dont really want to see MBAC or RE downfall any more then it has.

Well If spooky is quiting that really sucks lol. But then again they always come back dont they lol

I’m sure Saiyd is going to keep playing anyway and frankly most of what I learned I leached from him anyway. Not to mention these days hes way more motivated than me to sit in training mode for 2 hours. I havent loaded training mode in months.

You’ve got to make one last hurrah, we’ve got to go to Texas Showdown!

Awww. No more carpet munching Sion. :expressionless:

sp00ky don’t quit bro…you are the reason that i’m playing melty blood ^^
it’s way better than mvc2

of course we don’t “deserve” a spot in their precious tournament… fuck japan… i want to see marvel at sbo just once so i can hear the announcer desperately try to explain why their players are getting raped… japan always seems so invincible when they get advanced copies of games and use their thousands of arcades to mine everything… resulting in a network of “top knowledge” that spreads like a virus… but marvel is seriously immune to sharing information because the problems are too varied and complex, all the teams and situations with no perfect answer renders their little pyramid scheme fucking mute… also some toronto player just won a 3s ranbat but clearly he got lucky since japan is untouchable…

Such raw hate. :V

The thought of Japan running MvC2 is funny, though. That’s like pushing for Arcana Heart at Evo; they run it because that’s what they play. The implications of the sociological and logistical differences between the two countries is beyond the scope of this thread.

Sp00ky how are you so sure that MB won’t be on the roster at next year’s SBO? :\

Who WANTS TO TEAM UP WITH ME FOR TEXAS?

I’m going for first!

>:|

This already happened at USA vs Japan 2000. Which was right after B4 and prior to SBO. :looney:

i would if i had a job or money, but i dont
so good luck with that

damn it wouldve been cool to have a MH and Hisui team take first too

hmm texas showdown
i kinda wanna go… but if i do that i prolly can’t go to my vegas trip in may

you may say that I’m a dreamer…but I’m not the only one…I hope someday you’ll join us… and the world will live as one…

thx furby i forgot about that…

If I can’t get anyone to go with me I’m going to have to team up with Stone.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Texas more than likely will have a mb:ac sbo qualifier. So im pretty sure if he kept playin he can come down here and rape some ppl and have a good chance.

In light of recent events i wanted to comment on this. In Japan’s case, they don’t really need more players to do what they want to do, so they can say forget MvC2. In the US, we really have some work to do to continue to justify the sponsors and the media attention compared to fps and other competitions. Part of that is going to be taking calculated risks.

SBO is actually taking some chances, not on games, but expanding the international teams, right now the US has 10 SBO teams (3x3s,2xDR,2xHSF2,1xAH,SC3,MB:AC)

Team up with Veteru! :V

Also your ass needs to get on IRC; we need to… ‘talk’.

I also need to point out something from Tokyo Game Action’s forum:

Hrm… There’s also a post from someone at Planet Zero in the Showdown Championships thread in Tournament Discussion confirming that they are running US SBO qualifiers, but I don’t feel like digging it up.

One other thing I need to point out is that Texas and New England (and specifically Planet Zero and Tokyo Game Action) have had a long-standing history of beef; I don’t know of any history between the owners (just the players) but that could certainly be coming into play here.

Are you hinting at Arcana Heart at Evo 2007? :V

I haven’t heard about some of those games (one of the T5 and HSF2 teams, AH, and SC3:AE), and I’m pretty sure that Planet Zero is running GG:AC and MB:AC, given what I posted above (unless they’re running more games?..)
