The Melty Blood : Act Cadenza (PS2) thread~

Who: The SBO Commission, headed up by various people running the event. Mostly Japanese but there are a couple of foreigners involved, mainly Andy from TGA and Arlieth from FFA.

Ultimately, the decision comes down on the person that heads the MB:AC tournament for the event (they hire one person from the community for each game to establish rules, help pick qualifier locations, and other minutiae).

How: zomg wiki. Mainly, the scene needs to be big enough and good enough. Who the hell knows if they think either are true.

If they decide NOT to give us the qualifiers, can we still go?

Like just to watch and stuff?

Hey if I bought a naomi board + MBAC ver. B software would everyone in this thread call me an idiot?

If the dudes who make this game aren’t gonna come out with a revision for a while I’m SERIOUSLY thinking of doing it (cause I already have a Aerocity cab, just a different board on it).

I’d hate you forever if you did it :D!

Well I love you and dream of butt secks with your avatar(s), but does that still mean buying arcade board = fruitless idiocy?

Well…

Yes and no.

Yes because it’s been said that they’re going to port the arcade ver.B back to the PS2.

And no because well, you have the cabinet for it so why not ;p?

The finals are open to the public. Where do you think they got that crowd in the DVDs from?

I want to go.

Who’s coming with me?

Also, just as a general question to ALL OF YOU:

Do you think it’s a bit foolish to start up a MB site at this point? Would it garner any traffic, or should I wait for ver. B to be ported again later on in the year and the game gets a more established base of players?

Why not just send people over to TeamSidewinder or ArcadeScrubs?

:V :V :V :V :V

I’m willing to set up a website if you need to. I have a comcast, so I can use one of the accounts dedicated for MB…

Thanks for the offer Mizuki, but that’d probably rape your account pretty damn fast ;p. I’m just asking around right now for a general consensus (HOW THE FUCK DO YOU SPELL THAT ANYWAY).

Why not? The game seems to attract some people in Arcade Infinity over here in SoCal, and you guys manage on the other side of country with FUCKING CONSOLES, so hey there’s bound to be a little interest.

I can technically afford the board from coin-op even though I’ll be eating ramen FOR A LONG TIME. Any one in socal wanna help out? :frowning:

In that case, I think it would be more sensible just to wait for the console release of ver.B. We already have one guy eating ramen for the cause (sup Andy, the owner of TGA). Then again, by that point VF5 will have come out and you will be gone playing that. :V

hehe, I originally was thinking of getting VF5 cabs but Sega is a bunch of anti-foreigner bastards who won’t let any non-japanese arcade owner let alone independent buyer get VF5 cabinets.

I’m getting VF5 for 360 now, :stuck_out_tongue:

But I’m serious about this cause I like this game alot for not even knowing how to play it right, and I figure cabinet in the end is always better for gathering than a console.

I think the question more is…do you want to, because there’s plently of good reasons to start a site. Having a central hub for the community would be a lot better than having everyone and their info scattered around at different websites. Also, when problems arise, they can be fixed much more easily. Case and point: SRK wiki being operatable for weeks. If the community had it’s own website, we wouldn’t have to wait for someone else to fix our problems.

There’s also another site dedicated to MB that I know of. But they pretty much just speak amongst themselves. Not that they’re unaware of what’s going on in the greater scene, but yeah. It has its fair share of issues.

that’s because vast majority of mb players are weirdos… as in there being way more computer nerds than actual fighting game players, which is pretty much true for all doujin games.

it’d be better if more of them stuck their heads out of the hole, but there really isn’t incentive for most of them to visit these forums when they don’t/can’t play other fighting games.

My site is still up for MB discussion. I havent been maintaining it too much due to the fact its been pretty inactive but I am more than glad to have people use my site as the main MB site. I already have everything set up. I can simply change everything to MB. So no one will have alot of work ahead of them. Its pretty simple. What do you guys say? All I have to do is make the main focus of the site MB and its all good. I have no problems in doing that right now since im not working today. Teamsidewinder.net incase people forgot.

Yo Toukyou are you moving all the character pages to the first page? I noticed both Ak’s were moved.

Yeah im moving everything to the front. So that it will officially be the melty blood site. Cool?
