The Melty Blood : Act Cadenza (PS2) thread~

Everyone can get hit three times by Satsuki 5[C].

The difference is that only Kohaku gets hit three times while on the ground, due to some funny hitbox issues. You can test this by doing j.[C] 5[C] 2[C], and if your timing is Japanese you can get three hits.

If I wanted to pickup MB should I just wait for version B? is that even coming out for ps2? or should I just pickup AC?

It is currently out for ps2 (Japan).
And you are in luck. The ps2 port is AC and ver.B in one!

Oh… dumb question then… heh. Sorry, I thought that the link that H-F Blade posted was supposed to be some new mb game. Thank you very much.

Oh that.
That’s the Arcade version of ver.B

Includes White Len and they changed the way you reduce damage. Everything is the same or is extra fluff.

Thanks, guess I’ll try to pick it up soon.

How do you reduce damage in the new Ver.B?

Rhythmic tapping.

Like DDR.

(This is in Arcade ver.B, btw. Not console ver.B)

ah, ok…gotcha.

Which version of this game should i be playing? And Arcade(ver.A) Original (Ver.B) am i correct? Sorry if this has been asked a 100 times i just wanted to make sure i had heard 2 different stories. thanks

Original (Ver.B)

Ive been using (Air) AB j AB Throw in the air with Red Arcueid. It doesnt really work well agaisnt smaller characters. Is there a better option than this?

Yes.

j.b (two hits), j.c, j.b (two hits). j.C, air throw. Works on everyone.

Just get the timing down for the j.B to hit twice and you’re good.

:open_mouth:

many thanks

Is that who you play?

Ninja Edit. I cant seem to get the throw off after the second j.C It knocks the opponent to high. Ill keep trying it.

it’s actually simpler if you do ja, jb, jc > ja, jb, jc > throw or ja, jb, jc > jb, jc > throw

2-hit jb does better damage than ja, jb but a lot less stable as well

the same goes for normal arc

try doin the air combo RIGHT from the sweep, ie no ‘launcher’ normal.

Actually, you shouldn’t go right into the combo from the sweep. You should do 5c then ja > jb > jc > jump cancel > ja > jb > jc > Air Throw.

You’d be sacrificing some damage if you were to go into the combo right after the sweep and it would also be less stable.

After trying all those i like BC j BC throw & ABC ABC Throw. Both seem to work naturally for me. Although doing it directly off the sweep seems a little harder for me.

color 24 is the shit

Warc’s combo is sort of testing. You really have to be fast to make it combo completely.

I say not to do the 5c from sweep because it’ll give you the space / time you need to get those pesky two hits from the j.B’s. I myself still have trouble doing it.
