That’s a problem we’ve yet to rectify DG. I’ve been promoting this game for like two years now, back when it was simply just Re-ACT, bringing it to local GG tournaments and even NEC 5. Now that the console version is out, well many more people are interested, but it still seems like a casual fanbase.
As usual, VMan is an idiot. Ciel has the one of the best (if the player can actually do it) high/low wakeups in the game. Though admittedly everyone else’s sucks, but her mixup is actually good!
Not only that, you can’t set the dummy to crouch guard either. Which makes it difficult to test if a move hits overhead. Because last time I remember reading about some air moves that could be crouch guarded (don’t remember what they were off the top of my head). And you no longer have the option for replay saves for vs matches unlike in the Re-Act games. :sad:
I guess we gotta do it the old way by setting it to controller/player and then Test it that way.
OMFG I love Aoko…Yes shes class C probably because of technicality…but OMFG I love her…
She reminds me of Sheryl in the first Rumblefish-she has wayyyyyyyyy too many options with the mines etc…
I am gonna dig up as much as possible on her-I am already starting to think of my tournament characters in this game already.
God Aoko is just the technicality I need-mine here mine there…how many more mines you want?? Too good… if I am guessing right that means like Sheryl in TRF you can get Unblockables with her correct?

I play Kouma, but no one around here plays and my knowledge of the game is such that the only other guy who will play with me tends to give me a ridiculously hard time with Nero even though all he does is spam 2B and jump B/jump C. I don’t understand the game from a tactical/strategic perspective yet, so I dunno what exactly I’m supposed to be setting up and how. Need help.
Kouma is the shit though. I love the raw power characters.

Because you really don’t use both. IMHO it’s better off with Kohaku having Hisui as an assist then Hisui having Kohaku as an assist. That, and the few things that each had individually aren’t there when they’re put together.
I personally play Hisui. I like how she controls the ground (especially in the corner) and she doesn’t need Kohaku at all to do it either.
It’s just that neither one ‘needs’ the other, and then when you play as both there’s no GLARING necessity to switch back and forth between them anyway.
it’s just a matter of preference. although they’re sisters and share the same looks, they’re pretty different in the way they are played.

and although the convention has it that hi/ko players usually play as koku and use hisui just for assists, that is probably because most players that prefer hisui just play her by herself. however, there are some hi/ko players that actually use hisui as main and kohaku for assists. it’s up to the player, really.

ZTB pointed this videos out to me on account of the Hisui, even though it’s the maids together. So this is a rare example of Hisui being used instead of Kohaku. You can see he probably uses Kohaku assist three or four times, and even then it’s when the opponent is in the corner.
The Hisui in these vids is an absolute fucking beast by the way.

when you play them together they lose their ground 214 move because that turns into their assist.
that being said, i agree that there is no reason to play kohaku w/o hisui assist. she loses nothing having hisui there b/c all she has to do is jump and then she still has her 214 moves.
hisui on the other hand loses the ability to throw random stuff, which is useful for zoning. so with her you have to decide if you like kohauku’s assists or hisui’s random projectiles more. another thing w/ hisui’s 214, you gain circuit just by preforming the move (i dont know if this happens with any other move).
