Personally I feel jill shouldn’t have a level 3. Just make her be like storm. 3 level 1 abilities. Because mad beast is definitely not worth 3 meters. Even when you start learning to control it and can get some combos down with it. It still just to show off and there is nothing it does that you can’t do by using the other supers. “Look at this sweet loop I just did that hit for 400k! and was really hard to control” “thats cool, I just used 1 meter for raven spike and dhced into 900k”
^^ this. Raven Spike > HSF > follow up combo xx HSF > spit = kill any character in the game. Thats what 3 bars can do instead of allowing you to zip around and look flashy…then get hit buy a random cr.L > death (depending on who youre opponent is playing as )
Alright, this is my theory fighter idea for how to use Mad Beast: Arrow Kick spam for chip. I’ve gotten about 25 Arrow Kicks out and, if you cancel them fast enough, they should be unavoidable after they block the first one because of block stun, even if they push block. This builds 1.5 bars of meter (and one for them) and should do 750,000 damage. If you have level 3 X-Factor, you can do them much faster (I got ~60), which can build ~3.5 bars and does 3,150,000 damage in chip. If they don’t block, you should be able to do an easy hit confirm into a combo.
EDIT: So, flaw in the level 3 X-Factor Mad Beast plan: advancing guard can completely negate the chip damage it does when you go full speed.
im thinking about making a new team with jill, problem is i can only play online so i was wondering if the timing on her combos are very strict compared to other characters and how she is to use in general.
Putting aside the more laggy matches in this game, is she hard to use effectively online even with the slightest input delay?
:wonder: Meh, I have no problem using her online or offline. She’s not that hard of a character to use… dood.
Her level 3 movement takes some getting used too, but every character has something like that. Just remember to feral crouch often so you can dodge or mixup fast. She’s vulnerable during those movements, but hard to hit since she’s so low. Basically she plays a lot like X-23.
Also don’t forget that you can’t call any assist while in Feral stance.
Kei
ahh ok thx, guess il have to try her out.
will find out myself(system just got serviced).
For online play You will have trouble linking your somersault into j.h. And her level 3 is pretty much out of the question. Other than that none of her combos have too strict of timing and you can do them all through some lag.
That move is very annoying, although i don’t play jill, but afaik that she could cancel into jump or that stance after the move.how do you guys deal with that if your opponent keep on spamming that move?it actually leads to a very damaging combo.
I mean a invincible move that leads to a full combo and can be canceled. How broken is that.
The move isn’t broken at all, the move has some invinibility yes. However it’s not a guaranteed combo afterward by any means. You just need to pay attention to what comes afterward like you would any other person’s moves. Jill can cancel almost any of her moves into feral stance, and then go on from there. However while in feral stance she can’t block either so it’s risky for her…thus she can cancel and move very fast.
Just pay attention to what comes after the somersault, and then block it accordingly like any mixup starter. Even though I’m a Jill player, don’t let it get into your head pissing you off or you’re going to lose anyway. If she doesn’t cancel the move, then she’s got recovery to deal with (sucks), and she gets pushed away from you (also sucks).
Another thing, it’s VERY difficult to spam that move like you would a projectile. If you wanted to spam it you’d have to…
somersault xx feral stance xx somersault xx feral stance etc. etc. etc.
To do a somersault you have to be in feral stance in the first place which is down down S. Then press H, then press down down S (immediately!!!), then press H, then press…see what I mean.
good luck, and may Jill keep kicking your ass :razzy:
Kei
so if jill cancels that move into jump or into feral, can you punish her? especially about jump cause you could air guard right?
If you block it, there is no way to punish it. She can still cancel the move into feral stance as long as she’s still on the ground, but if she’s in the air and it didn’t get blocked you can punish her. Basically if some one is spamming that move you have to bait it out (gee, like every other dp in every other fighting game known to man). It would probably be easiest to bait out from the ground by moving forward and then backing off again, or in the air by a character with dj/flight air dash that can go up.
Jill has a lot of things going for her, but if you’re just losing to somersault spam, you’re doing it wrong.
well most of DP you could block and punish but this… you have to make it whiff, its some how hard to deal with (not to mention that other DP doesn’t combo into an 600K Bnb)
You’ll never punish it imo. If i whiff it and I see someone trying to hit me afterwards I just cancel it into her super.
Woah… i know jill is hard to use,but by knowing this,i’m beginning to fear her even more.
So, i do have a question refering to all this crazy mixups that Jill has… and that is, how do u mixup with the teleports?
Now, please read my problem before telling me how obvious the answer is: Here is the situation, i combo my oponent, get a hard knockdown, call ammy assist and go into feral crouch, everything nice and dandy, then i teleport to the other side and rape my opponent… awesome. Then i do that again, and again, and again… and at some point my opponent starts realizing it and blocking the other way… so im like, oh thats fine, ill just teleport infront instead of the other side… the problem is… I CANT!!! The teleport always goes a set distance and i cant change that (unless i cancel it with a special move but then i cant hitconfirm…). So where is the mixup if i always go to the other side? I thought about dashing backwards, THEN GOING into feral, then teleporting, that way i appear infront and not behind of my opponent, but my opponent obviously saw my backdash…
How do you guys mix it up with sides? I mean i know i can just teleport up forward, or go to the other side and overhead, but id like to know if theres someway to appear infront.
Thanks!!!
I was wondering if any of the Jill veterans could share some advice on making Team Resident Evil a good one? I’ve made a thread listing some points but Jill is the only character I’m really not too sure about so i would appreciate the input. Thanks

Either you learn the distance to make her dashes ambiguous, or you start going upforward/up for a high/low grab mixup. All of those mixups are very strong.
