As for the Bruce Lee character:
The film producers were unable to find an actor to portray Lee’s intensity onscreen so have decided to use computer graphics to recreate the most authentic Lee in the film.
Guess we doing the whole heroic china vs the evil westerners again. Ip Man 2.5 woot.
No idea who would make a good Bruce Lee these days but money is on some cantopop dickwad.
I’m down for Tyson getting some screen action, I don’t know why he hasn’t done anything like this sooner.
As for Bruce Lee, I just made a huge sigh of relief. I’m not sure what they will do, as far as I’m aware at the time Bruce Lee trained with Ip Man, he was not the exceptional student, Ip Man had several other students who were far superior in WC.
Guess the chinese dont trust nobody to be Lee lol, hes gonna be in 3D 
Mixed about this, 1- yea they are right nobody would do the role justice but 2- dunno how well they can expect to pull this off and 3- Tyson is gonna be a street fighter boxer… yea.
Dont think a black guy back in those days would be able to freely roam about beating ass but lets see how this goes.
Alright if they can pull off the CG w/ Bruce can they please redo Game of Death.
Bruce Lee will be in CG? Hmm. I hope they render him well. I don’t think anybody or anything can replicate the high intensity aura of Bruce Lee. He was like a god in action. I believe him to be above most mortals.
If they took Donnie Yen out of the production I would volunteer to don yellowface and pull of the best Bruce Lee since the man did it himself.
Sammo did a good Bruce in Enter the Fat Dragon.

They could pull it off with him (maybe), but on a side note, I’m turned off by the use of “Turn Down For What”, but that’s another story.
To those who’ve watched Ip Man, can anyone name the track used in this video?
Depends, considering how bad every Bruce Lee portrayal has been horrendous (excluding Jason Scott Lee’s performance) nobody has been able to embody his character or his physicality convincingly. Just look at the horrendous TV biopic as one recent example. At least with CGI they do motion capture using his movies and interviews, get a talented stuntman to fill in the rest, tweak then throw 10’s of millions at WETA or some other highly rated studio. If they can fool me into thinking a talking racoon is real for 2hrs they can make a realistic Bruce Lee.
I don’t understand why they didn’t get Chan Kwok Kwan to do the role. Not only does he look like a Bruce Lee clone, he’s also a practitioner of Jeet Kune Do in real life.
Dude is like 40 now, how is he going to play someone who needs to play late teen to young adult.

All these actors must have been considered at one stage or another, and I’m glad they concluded they weren’t up to the task.
