470 is actually pretty high for ultra damage in super.
it still sucks on other notes though

Yeah, I mean they couldn’t have possibly made it like hakan’s trap ultra.
would be awesome if Capcom changed the Ultra to do no damage but give Fei a Damage/Def buff similar to Makoto’s super but lasting longer.
Yah no doubt !!! The jumping in to instant Ultra seems a bit easy. Nearing the ends of rounds vs him do not jump what so ever.
Seeing as how they aren’t actually crossing Fei up, I’m willing to bet the active frames are just running out for it by the time he hits the ground and hits forward.

Well I thought the inital impression was that if you touched him at all it would connect. As in Hakan can land trap ultra off a FA? Is that not quite true?
Think of what kind of shut down power that has near the end of a round if he is stitting on Ultra, kind of like how Fei should of been really.
Pretty sure counters just don’t last that long. It’d hit a cross up. I see no reason why it wouldn’t.
Does Fei’s ‘counter’ Ultra have the same incongruous properties as Cammy’s must-do-before-your-opponent-has-even-thought-about-pressing-a-button-counter?
Because if so he’s going to be even more pussy willow than he was in ‘IV’. -_-
yeah i see what you mean. For an offensive character, Fei isnt too good at running people over like Abel, Cammy, Rufus, Akuma. His game is more revolved around poking yet his pokes dont link nor do they do good damage. Now his ultra is making it even more of a turtle fest.
^ Not only is he a crap character mechanically but they didn’t even do him the dignity of giving him his famous yellow jumpsuit. o_0
It’s like they went out to insult Bruce Lee rather than pay homage to him! 
well Fei isnt crap but if Capcom doesnt want to give him mid range links, decent damage output, or a good Ultra id hope they at least consider making Fei’s pokes quicker and recover faster for the next DLC if they have one

so far from the Videos, id say so? It’ll have its uses but i just dont see how reliable it will be to actually land it against most of the cast.
