There’s a mute feature where you can go into somebody’s profile and make sure you don’t get alerts when they post.
For some reason the dudes working at Discourse thought this was a great feature. There are also people who moderate other forums who are actively arguing AGAINST an ignore feature for discourse.

I dont see why an ignore function would be bad or be hard to implement. I like being able to ignore folk. Folk like Daboog. I would rather just not see his posts. I never read them anyhow and if he posts, that just means more scrolling for me.
