So right. When samsho 2019 was announced, we went from a small community of people who were pretty serious about 5 Special to a large community who preferred ChatSho to SamSho. That and it became harder to find what little tech there was from the better players because youâd have to parse all this dumb ass waifu talk. There were a few players who came in with that group that stuck and turned out to be good but not many. Small & Awesome>>>>>>>>Big & Shitty
Wiz and that group only seem to care about the community insofar as they can make money from it.

Yea i know. He basically tried the same shit on me when i pointed out how fucking invasive the ads where. That fucking TxSF ad covered the WHOLE browser window. Posted a poc and he year banned me and then never lifted it. No âHey websites expensive we gotta do somethingâ no kinda explination, nothing. Just flat put banned like I posted porn. I had to get Preppy to unban this account 5 years later.

Yea. I would have let the ads rock if he just explained himself and i dunno said they where working on better ads. Instead Beesuit gave me the Crotchpuncha account and I downloaded every ad blocking program I could I find. Even managed to rid myself of that stupid fucking Complex Media Bar. He gonna be like then fuck you, Iâll block all your fucking revenue.

I understand that, but the decisions Evo makes affect the rest of the community. Their move towards a more esports type model has a trickle down effect not just on other tournies, but the community itself.
Iâm not active in the community much anymore so it doesnât really affect me, but I notice the difference in the community and the mindset of it before samsho 2019, and after it was announced that thereâd be a $30k prize pot at Evo.

How much did Prem cost? I donât understand why he decided to go to these large abusive ads if he could have sold more subscriptions. At least make the site ad free for prem members (if it wasnât already.)
No site is entitled to make money from ads especially not if theyâre as abusive as those complex media ads were.
It was like 5 a month, 15 for 6 and 25 for a year, iirc. Give or take a few dollars.
Also usually if you had x amount of prem left and you reupped between November-December Wiz would hook you up with something. Usually a name change, avatar size change, modify something about your profile, etc.

I mean, I agree. I dislike everything about A3âs gameplay (and like everything about itâs roster, music, single player modes).
But that game should without doubt have online for ST, A2, A3, and 3S.
HF might have people playing it, it might even be better/more balanced, but afaik there are few if any tournaments for HF. There are still some for the other 4.
I donât go to tournaments anymore so i donât really care about that. I just want to play.
Tournaments for 30th Anniversary should be that random game mode. In other words all of a sudden you play Street Fighter or Street Fighter II: The World Warrior or Street Fighter Zero: Warriorâs Dream

People just play Champion Edition because it was more widespread than HF. HF is the best SF2 game other than ST and is one of the high points of the series in general though imo as far as just being a solid SF title. TBH I like it better than ST in some ways, but I understand and agree with ST being the definitive SF2 game even if I wish people would play HF more.
