The Lounge: Does Leroy Smith Listen to Wu-tang?

Their fanservice didn’t include netcode that was actually usable, unfortunately.

I mean, maid characters (or whatever Iroha is) make lots of money, cool. BIDNESS.

Not sure what point I’m trying to make here. The reward for competitive things pales in comparison to the reward for titties, I guess.

That’s the thing I mentioned somewhere else. Capcom released a whole pack of “summer outfits” and that was mostly of female characters. Who were all the bikinis really marketed at?

I’ve been upfront about not liking fanservice. Japanese fanservice is all that semi nude nonsense; US fanservice is all the random extra violence. Like Fatalities are basically ending matches with fanservice. But you can’t be like “well I like these characters that are obvious fanservice, I just don’t think the corporate account should be behaving that way”. why? Corporation made it. They know what they’re selling.

Why do people suddenly have to pretend it isn’t what it is?

Not fake, but misleading.

" SpaceTrack, which tracks objects such as satellites in our orbit, was only able to narrow down potential reentry areas to Australia, the US and Africa."

So it could land anywhere among three continents and the oceans in-between. But let’s put NY and LA in the title.

Per KTLA, Los Angeles’s finest news source.

So probably most people already know about it, but -please- stop using FC and use RedGGPO instead…

better version of Final Burn, and equivalent or better netcode than FC.

And still supported by developers.

All the Asians (and South Americans, but w/e) still use FC and it’s so difficult to get them to switch, as they barely speak English.

Waiting for the RedGGPO people to get the SNES rollback working. The Sailor Moon community has been waiting on that for a while now.

One of the kids in the SF5 lounge put me on RedGGPO.

Haven’t tried it for 3S yet. 30th on PC is surprisingly good. By that mean not an atrocity like a lot of other netcodes…SF5. :eyes:

30th is okay but it only has 4 games, and 1 of those is useless (HF).

A lot easier to play New Legacy and A2 on ggpo platforms (as well as many many other games).

IMO buy 30th to support Capcom/for tournament play, use GGPO for netplay.

They made mods for PC 30th to to switch A3 into A2.

Also put some respect on HF, game is mad fun. :triumph:

I’d rather play HF then fucking Alpha 3.

I use a beard trimmer. Makes me tiny wiener look a little bit bigger, so I’ll take the extra help. Just don’t use the same trimmer on your face afterwards. I did that once and my face smelled like balls all fucking day :confounded:

I suspect that Fgc Twitter is largely people who don’t play and just spend all day on there instead of in the lab. Like how people who are bad at something but want to hang out with the people who are good at that thing find other ways to be able to hang around but a lot of those ways are ultimately meaningless.

I haven’t been playing samsho much so I’m less inclined to jump on there, but the samsho community was awesome when it was just a handful of people in a discord who played a lot, shared tech, and could joke about anything without having to worry about hurt feelings. Imo samsho 2019 isn’t a good enough game to justify the effect it’s had on the community. I know I sound like am old man but whatever. It’s not a fun community anymore.

We really need to get back to the smaller communities of players, the real players. All this internet shit isn’t real. Evo is barely real FGC anymore. It’s this fake as hell front to try and make us look softer and easier to digest but that isn’t the real FGC.

Like there is no FGC Twitter. There’s people on Twitter who talk about the FGC, and some of those people play and are in the community.

I don’t care what James Chen says Stream Monsters are not FGC. I’m not a member of the Red Sox for watching games on TV. Fuck out of here.

A lot of the people taking offense were community voices and/or people who go to tournaments.

But the problem there is sort of the same when the that wack ass article about the depiction of female characters made it on the SRK Front Page:

This community is about playing, not making games. doesn’t matter how a character is dressed since we aren’t the ones responsible for selling games.

Ad campaigns have fuck all to do with gameplay. So none of this would be an issue if we all ignored twitter.

I agree. TBH I think too much inclusivity is a bad thing, especially when it means the community becomes about everything but the game.

Like I’ve been shouting from the roof tops and mountains since SFIV dropped; a bigger community doesn’t mean a better community.

People just want to get offended by things because they hope it will raise their Twitter stock. There was a guy who I think used to be on here named King Hippo or something and dude would make these silly tweet threads about things he found offensive just to get attention. Dude is emblematic of what’s wrong with Twitter.
