Too bad we are in a shutdown and no money will go out during this time

what do you do to be shut down? i thought you were a pharmacist or something

Social Security is paid out of its own funds and isn’t usually affected by shutdowns.

You got fucked over but it’s not like you’re out of options.

Take the option where you receive less benefits and budget around that. You’ll be getting over a third of what you normally receive and this will allow you to get more serious/focused on what your spending habits are really like. Get an app like Mint that digitally tracks what you spend money on and see what you can cut back on. Unsubscribe to certain services you can opt out of without penalty, eat out less, be more conscious about your electricity use,buy less video games and skip out on expensive everyday rituals like starbucks. In addition to doing this you can also try to request more hours at work or take less time off.

@radiantsilvergun3 I have a safety net. I have a few k saved up and about $500 in cash I got over holidays. That’s not the point though.

@PussyStuffer I’ve worked under the table before. It sucks. They can simply choose not to pay you that week/month/whatever and you can’t do shit about it because you technically don’t exist on their payroll. I’m refuse to put myself in that position again.

@DarkGeneral I don’t eat out, I take my lunch to to work every day, I don’t go to Starbucks, I cancelled Netflix, Hulu and Crunchyroll months ago. The only steaming service I’ve kept is WWE network. I could ask for more hours but like, it’s either work 4 days a week for 32 hours or 5-6 days a week for 39 hours (they don’t give anyone but management 40 hours.). That extra day or two of work for 7 more hours isn’t worth it to me. I hate the idea of feeling like I live at work: I felt that way when I first starting working there and it did a number on me and my despression and anxiety. As for the electricity? The only thing that’s ever on is my box fan and my cpap I use at night. I never put my consoles into rest mode and I next to never use my tv.

Good work, glad to hear. A safety net is important. I understand what your point is, just your point is irrelevant in the long run. I dont like getting fucked over by my apartment complex but it happened and no matter how good my point is they are still gonna get their fucking money regardless.

thats why i said you gotta find some boss that is trustworthy. and as bad as getting jipped outta a hard earned amount of work you put in, its not as bad as being 12k in the hole. cuz the government just robbed you of 12k bruh

Yeah. Still not happening. After what happened last time I worked under the table I don’t trust anyone enough to do it again.

That fucking blows, Stu. You think it’s worth collecting the $350 to help make ends meet even though it would prolong getting full benefits again? I don’t understand how they overpaid… How long have you been getting the disability checks? Something seems fucked up.

thats like saying that just because you got brutally anally raped you’ll never trust another man with your naked behind.

the only fucked up thing is his brain for being dumb enough to trust of all things the gobermaaaant.
has dis nigga never seen X-Files or something?
smdh.
we have all made mistakes. posted stupid shit before. but his oopsie cost him $12,000.oo
to which i add,
giphy%20(17)

but seriously tho. i wish you the best. best start selling weed before the same government keeps you down by putting you out of work when they make it legal in your state soon.
then you’ll have to start mugging lil old ladies with your plastic X-men Cable gun just cuz its shiny and silver and looks, somewhat real in a dark alleyway.

We’re still pretty far away from cannabis being legal on the federal level.

Government has nothing to do with social security disablity. It’s self contained. But okay.

@chadouken I don’t think it would be worth it. I’d rather just ā€œpayā€ it off and get over it. I don’t get how they ā€œover paidā€ either seeing as I never made over what I earn in disability which was the condition for me to work/still get disability. And I’ve been on disability since I was 18 (now 32)

cause trump wants to build his wall nigga. thats how. gotta get those green honies somehow,
by hook or crook yo.
and you got…

_vz4Mp

Did you get it in writing, in any manner, when they told you that you could work for any amount under your earnings, with no repercussions?

If so, you have all the leverage you’ll need.

Back when I was first put on disablity, yeah but that was 14 years ago. I don’t have that paper anymore tho.

The Fed ought to.

If there is one thing they are good for, it is hording data.

you also haveta check if they, over the 14 years, have changed the conditions on that clause. cause if they did, youre still fucked, if not, youre good.

Also:

If you had legal help getting the benefits (dunno if that’s how it works), then your lawyer ought to have the records filed away too.

Just a thought, anyway.
