Update: Itâs a year later now, July 2016. Just as I predicted there are more and more signs of conventional economy dropping into recession. Bank failures and bank bail-ins are happening in europe now (where the bank goes bankrupt and the deposits of working class people are seized). Bit coin and cyrpto in general just had a major crash, people lost millions of dollars in Crypto.

Man. Social Security totally fucked me over. I get paid disability every month (around 1k) and I usually get it on the 2nd of every month, right? Well I hadnât got my check deposited yet so I called social security to ask why I havenât received it yet.
Turns out due to me working (which they said was totally fine if I did as long as it was part-time and I made less than what my disablity check was) they are withholding my disability checks due to an âover paymentâ of almost 12K. They said I wonât receive another disability check until itâs paid off which wouldnât be until November. Obviously Iâm a little upset because they sent me absolutely no notification of this happening and I really rely on that extra income every month.
Alternatively they told me I could receive partial payments of âaround $350â a month but it would take longer for the over payment to be paid off in order to get full benifits again.
So like, Iâm super pissed and upset and on the verge of a panic attack. I donât know wtf to do.
What a way to start off the new year.
Fuck me.
Buy less games and save your money like the rest of us have to.

With the Government shutdown I am surprised you are getting diddley.
Worst part is they dont see a miss payment as money owed to you. But if you owe them, they want their money pronto.

That disability check accounted for half my income. Im not going to have that income again until November. A lot of that money went to helping out my parents with their bills and groceries. Not to mention my own bills, untitled and groceries. So it fucks with me a lot more than âoh just donât buy video gamesâ
There are lawyers who specialize in Social Security disputes who may be able to help you.
Canât hurt to ask around.

We all have to cut back from time to time. I understand it fucks with you, but you have to cut back on the luxuries like videogames and shit until your sorted out.
My apartment complex fucked me over the last few months on my electric bill, its gonna be 500+ to catch it up. I have to deal with it and pay the shit even tho it isnât my fault they switched companies and took forever to get bills out (took them 4 months). I have to not help the people I help or buy the toys I want to. It sucks but it what it is.
I should have spent less and saved more so I had a safety net, and so should you, especially you, over half your income is dependant on if the Gov feels like paying you this month. Buy less games and save your money. Create a safety net. Youâre disabled, you should have a safety net.

it doesnt matter what it is, but there are jobs out there that are off the books. maybe they dont pay so great but they exist.
if you work your current part as full, the ssi will close your case. if you are too sick to work full, i recommend you start looking for a off the books job somewhere.

sorry i had to stop writing. a catholic or private school around where you live. something really like unrelated or not tied with the government. thats where you will most likely find a off the books job.
also make sure you get paid weekly not monthly or bi weekly. off the books means there is no gaurantee you will get paid and u cant take em to court for not paying you so the boss has to be somewhat trustworthy.
or just deal dope idk what to tell you.
