So, the time-travel thing always raises endless questionsā¦ like I wonder if the alternate timeline versions of the characters was created when they altered the course of destiny? Orā¦was the destiny actually for them to go back and change what they THOUGHT was destiny? Orā¦did alternate timelines already exist in the first place? If true, that of course raises the questions of how manyā¦or if thereās simply an infinite number of alternate worlds and versions of ourselvesā¦imagine thereās 1 timeline where youāre the Presidentā¦another where youāre a homeless person, another where youāre a rapist, another where you may be cruel dictator, another reality where youāre a different race, gender, sexuality, or perhaps a mutant with superhuman abilitiesā¦the list goes on and on.
The Japanese guy actually spoke proper Japanese from what someone at another forum told me. While I didnāt like his attitude, I find his portrayal and what he said make sense.
Other than that fuckwin ep. the scene at the start is either an alt. reality or what will happen in the future after they get done with the whole Jacob/AntiJacob thing.

Also, when Ben talked to Widmore at his house, he spoke of ārules.ā What are these rules and are they similar to the ones shared between Jacob and the Beastly Black-clad man?

Theory - The rules donāt apply to Desmond. Remember that. He was on the plane and then he was gone. Poof. What if he still somehow acquired his ability to jump in time despite being o a different time-line/universe, but learned to control it? Take it a step further and think about him no longer having a Constant in this time-line (now she was never born!). What are the implications of that? I have no idea (yet), I just find it interesting, because Desmond and Penny are two of the most interesting characters in the show for me. :tup:
Iāve watched every epidsode up until now. Iām getting to the point where I am certain there will be no satisfactory resolution to the story. The plot is a complete clusterfuck of ideas. Iām getting pissed off with this show. There are just too many concurrent groups/timelines now. The group on the beach w/ fake Locke taht beat up Richard at the end of episode 2- what year/timeline are they? Seriously, Iām so confused I donāt even get where and when that group are meant to be now.
Could the black smoke be that other guy jacob was hanging out with in the other season?

I remember the smoke monster never turned up a few seasonās back, does anyone remember if this was the same time the cabin story came about. I thinking that when Locke first discovered the cabin it was surrounded with what he thought was gun powder Jacobās people must have trapped the monster inside.
Before I forget, anyone else wonder why the island in the new time line is underwater??
Maybe because the atomic bomb detonated, caused a chain reaction of some kind and sunk the island? Juliet did say that it worked. My theory is that it worked, but not in the way that they thought it would. It created an alternate time-line where no crash happened.
What I think is that the timelines (with the Losties) are back to normal now. If you recall, Jin and Hurley said that things went white and they temporarily lost their hearing like when they were moving through time.
