Producers have pretty much confirmed that the monster can impersonate people. Or perhaps has mind control of some sort. Producers said that we’ve seen the smoke monster a number of times probably without realizing that it was the smoke monster.
Another interesting theory that my coworker (who watches the show religiously with me) thought up was about biblical Abraham and how his faith lead him up the mountain to sacrifice his son. Everyone else who’s looked into the monster so far (Locke, Eko) have pretty much become extremely zealous in their pursuit of what the island wants. Killing one’s child wouldn’t seem too out of the way under that sort of power.
But Eko and Locke weren’t really on the same side of the coin, if you know what I mean. Why would the forces that be pit them against each other? And that theory, while very neat, is kind of debunked by the fact that Ben seemed to control the monster when he sook it on the forces sent to destroy him.
just a quick thought wonder if in the course of that happening he found out through a yet unintroduced event the fate of the research team and rousseau/alex specifically through one of the various time anomalies that couldve been happening at the time and he couldnt handle it(or “thats why you arent supposed to overlap future/past”)
I’d put Shannon over Nikki, personally. Nadia definitely top 3. Naomi was pretty hot and Alex was scorching. Kate has always been bleah… to me. No way Amy is hotter than Penny. Them tittays! :wow:
She has her moments. If it was 24 Reiko she was up against then there’d be no contest.
Anyway, I’ve been thinking more about Jin. He’s got to be integral to the show in some way. I’ve got a theory forming, but it lacks structure. I will post it once I gather up all my info.
Hmmmmm… That IS an issue. Here is the problem. Christian told Jack that Aaron needs to go back to the Island. Claire told Kate not to take Aaron back. (both happened when they were back in the states)
Those visions in the US are coming from the smoke monster. I say this because when Jack saw his dad, he appeared to him in the hospital when Jack went out to fix a smoke detector. That smoke detector was set off by Christian/The smoke monster.
We can assume that all visions are from the smoke monster. Yet, Smoke Monster Claire gave conflicting advice to smoke monster Christian which is why I said a few posts ago, their are two competing spirits on the island and more than one smoke monster. Both smoke monsters have different goals.
Just a thought.:wonder:
Anyway, back to your point. Whether or not Aaron has to go back depends on which “Island Force” you choose to believe.
How awesome was it when Frank was telling Sun, “You trust this guy? Sun, he’s dangerous! That frigate was filled with commandos sent to this island for one reason. To capture that man (pointing to Ben).”
Ben’s reply: “How’d that work out for everyone?”
That was probably the best line in the entire series lol.
