The LOST thread

i am glad mike got off light. i would do the same for my son.

fuck tha hater’s i woulda blown everyone up to ensure the safety of my child.

And felt no remorse.

I hope mike comes back to rescue them all in the series finale. Even if he has to goto jail, i dunno.

I would do anything to save my child, but i wouldn’t leave the rest hanging on that island.

See this is where I have problems. I don’t hate Mikey for doing what he thought he had to get Walt away from those people. However, the people he betrayed are people that have been looking out for him and Walt since they crashed. He killed Ana Lucia(admittedly to many viewers’ delight)in cold blood and proceeded to kill Libby as well(I STILL don’t know why Hurley didn’t flip out and bumrush Mike when he admitted that)just so Henry could get out and he could hand 3 of his friends over to the Others for God knows what reason.

What will probably end up happening is his conscience will get the better of him and he’ll return or he simply won’t get away from the island like Desmond. Henry seemed to think that help wouldn’t be able to find the island…I don’t see them as having that kind of control over the island’s location, if Desmond couldn’t get away I don’t see how Michael will either. That was the biggest question in my mind after sorting through all the finale’s unanswered questions.

Desmond didn’t know the exact direction to head in, Henry told Mike exactly where to go in order to be found.

I can understand doing anything to get your kid back, but that still doesn’t negate what Mike did to me. I can see him not turning back, because all Mike wants is to raise Walt and if he does go back or brings someone back, then he will have to answer for killing two people in cold blood.

Edit:
Although it would be funny if the Walt we saw in the boat was really just a fake, like a hallucination caused by a poison they gave Mike to get him on the boat while they kept Walt.

Damn this is going to be a worst wait than last year was.

But didn’t Des say he sailed in the same direction for like a week? Even if he was headed the wrong way he shouldn’t have ended up back at the island. That makes me think of the raft from season 1 also. They might not have been Captain Seaworthy and friends but I think they would have noticed they were sailing the wrong way to end up wherever the Others intercepted them.

On top of that the disturbance was where on the world map? I can’t recall since it wasn’t onscreen very long…it was detected in Anarctica, if the island is anywhere near there Mike and Walt will freeze before long, unless the island is truly self contained.

mike is a bitch and should be shot via firing squad when he gets back.

But he killed the Rodriguez…surely that counts for something in your book :bgrin:

Io, the Jack / Snowman thing was debunked lol. It’s a different guy.

What’s up w/Henry in the end after the flash of light? It didn’t look like he was really surprised…? And I thought Walt would do some David Blaine shit and start making sharks jump out of the water or something to eat the Others haha.

yah, i know it’s a different guy…but c’mon, that had to be on purpose

lmao

Manatees, attack!

man, i am so late to this thread. but that’s good because i’m never around to watch the show live, and you guys spoil stuff :arazz: i own the first season and just finished downloading and watching the second one (definitely will buy when released). i usually watch the episodes twice to try to remember all the cool stuff. i didn’t know there was a special wiki or the “commericals” until i read it in this thread!

up until the last episode when that rich ho picked up the phone and got the call from those guys, i pretty much thought that the people on the island were dead and in purgatory (it was a working theory which needed more information, but it sounded OK then). because, come on. it was a plane crash! everyone should have died. but 40+ escaped with minor injuries? and not only that some people got BETTER (Locke, Rose) than they were originally? but meh, that doesn’t seem to be the case currently

also in the last episode when Desmond came back and the extras were “rabbling” in the background, i noticed that they weren’t “rabbling” but they were speaking backwards. i’m in the process of cutting the clip and reversing the audio. i’ll post it in a bit.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!

edit: i don’t know if this was discussed in the old thread but the sharks have the Dharma seal on their tail fins. my friend noticed that when we were watching the first episode of season 2 when Sawyer was trying to swim to the other pontoon.

here’s the forwards and backwards audio. meh, it sounds like the audio guys wanted to fill out the background ramblings more by reversing the audio on purpose. but that just seems too sloppy to be the whole story. see if you can hear something i can’t… http://rapidshare.de/files/22698875/lostmp3.zip.html

Dude, over at the fuselage they have like a whole section of Sound masters that take tidbits of “mystery sounds” and slow them down and shit so they can hear what they are saying. And boy are there ALOT of mystery sounds!

Regarding Season 3:

ABC released its schedule for the premiere dates for this fall, which featured a very notable programming decision: Lost will return on October 4th, at which point it will begin a six-week run of new episodes with no repeats. However, on November 15th, the Taye Diggs series Day Break will take over Lost’s timeslot and begin its entire 13-episode first season, which will air without repeats. When Day Break concludes, Lost will return in early February, airing the remainder of its season with no repeats or breaks. McPherson said this decision was based on the frequent fan complaints about repeats interrupting the story flow on Lost, saying, “We listened to the audience about repeats, and it seemed this was the best way.” Asked about the rather long break for Lost, while Day Break airs, McPherson said they did consider simply holding all of Lost until the spring, as 24 does, but felt it would be too long off the air for the incredibly popular show. McPherson said it was possible they might decide to air 7 episodes of Lost rather then 6, before Day Break takes its place.

Rodrigo Santoro from Love Actually and the upcoming movie 300 is a new cast member for the upcoming season of Lost.

QUOTE
Actor Rodrigo Santoro – dubbed “The Brazilian Tom Cruise” by, uh, who knows – will join the cast of “Lost” in season three. Michael Ausiello of TVGuide.com confirmed Santoro’s casting with two reliable sources, “Lost” exec producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

In a true stunner, the producers are offering absolutely no details about Santoro’s character. Like Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje before him, Santoro is simply listed as a “mystery man.”

“We don’t really want to be at all specific about what we’re doing with the character or what he’s going to play,” Cuse tells TVGuide.com while gleefully twirling his handlebar mustache (or so I like to imagine). “Part of the surprise and the enjoyment of watching the show is sort of getting a chance to meet a new character and see how his role is going to unfold in relation to the rest of the cast.”

Santoro is a big star in Brazil (hence that “Brazilian Tom Cruise” stuff), but he’s a relative unknown in the states. He’s had small roles in “Love Actually” and “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.”

Man, a fucking 13 week break after only six or seven episodes…

If Taye Diggs wasn’t hated before this will cement it with some folk.

Why cant they just make more fuckin episodes??? Fuckin TV stations dont wanna pay up…

they make a full 24 episode season. THey are just retarded and piss people off with the way they put it on TV one week and then have reruns for 3 weeks.

The Lost Experience alternate reality game will reveal the secret behind the numbers (4 8 15 16 23 42) by the end of summer.

I can’t wait.

Who ever is playing the Lost Experinece should post up Spoilers. It will be much appreciated.

One the key revelations is that DHARMA stands for Department of Heuristics and Research on Material Applications.
