The LOST thread

FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

Awesome ep. This will have to do.

Next week looks rape too.

The temple? Wow crazy episode, benjamin is sic. Locke’s a noob and ben is a seasoned vet. Reminds me of gantz, kinda.

ben has double crosses up the sleeve. its crazy. but it looks like he doesnt know everything so i dont think he is unstoppable.

The “I’m gonna pull this van over if you 2 don’t stfu” scene was el oh el. Somebody needs to make an avi with that.

haha, or jacks dad to locke “he got you again  :shake:”

So ben killed locke? And the kids are in that temple? Seriously you’d figure the wheel o time is the place most likely to be guarded, but I guess not.

Charolette is one of my favorites so I better get alot more backstory or I’ll rampage.

Anyone think that young Rousseau for a minute was checking Jin out or did I read to much into that look she gave him early in the episode?

New stuff

[details=Spoiler] It looks like the theory on Charlotte being on the island before was true. Hope what Locke did at least slows things down so that Miles gets some story time before he dies.

Classic Ben being cold as ice until he suddenly snaps and has an emotional out burst. Although, it is funny because he seemed shocked that Desmond said he came looking for Faraday’s mom. Did he not know Elosie was Daniel’s mom or was he surprised that Desmond knew that?

 Jack’s Dad was great in that cave.

“It’s around that corner.”

“Can you help me up?”

“No” [Stands there watching]

Ghost or not, that was brilliant.

[/details]

Seriously? I like Ginger myself but she was like the least interesting and developed of all the folk from the Freighter. Besides they just revealed her backstory in tonight’s episode anyway.

Still, I had something in my eye watching her slowly go out like that and Daniel unable to do shit about it.

I’ll miss that ginger ass. Redheads are top tier in my book.

Why cant Richard be leader? Fuckin dude’s immortal.

The point of the island is that no one ever REALLY dies. They get all ghosty. I mean, why do you think they’re bringing back Lockes body? Do you think the island and the “others” went through all of that effort to get him there if they didn’t want him back?

I wonder if when John gets ported off the island he’s all crippled again…?

Does anyone else find it ironic that the show went from getting off the island to getting back TO the island?

^It’s part of the series making you feel lost

Actually the main question is: Why guard the wheel anyways? Look back through the series and this and think WHO could find the wheel and use it?
The wheel doesn’t need guarding, it just doesn’t need to be found by the wrong people.

Also doesn’t Ben give off an AntiChrist vibe?

wow, i regret watching that. its very fucking stupid.

Charolette is pretty cool, and she wasn’t interesting because she wasnt developed enough. But her being a anthropologist could open up some of the more ancient secrets. She still will. She is not gone.

Tizoc, right. I just wanna see what smokey is guarding.

Doctor, correct. Locke should be fine when he gets to the island. I was just guessing on lockes current condition.

For the record when Charollete told Dan that she had seen him as a child and told her to never come back this proves something quite frightening; you can’t change the future…

@Fox- Yeah was the smoke monster guarding the ‘grounds’ of the temple when it attacked people in later seasons? Were the ruins destroyed but the monster kept on protecting that area?
If so why did it leave its location to attack people in areas that weren’t the temple?

Doesn’t prove anything that we don’t already know. Now Dan just knows that he has to tell her at some point, as if anyone could stop him, to tell her not to come back or she’ll die. Knowledge of the future to come does however give him the ability to ridiculous shit. Example: In Bill and Ted (surprisingly accurate) they’re in jail and say “lets just remember to go to the past later and put the cell keys right there” and all of a sudden, in a spot they couldn’t see that they designated as the spot to put the keys, the keys were there. And then they said “now remember dude, we HAVE to remember to do this later”. But he was wrong, if the keys were there now, they were always there, whether they put them there or not.The very fact that it happened means that it HAS to happen again/still. Someone has to put them there though.

So, what does this mean for Daniel? Even though shes dead, he could have given her some kind of pertinent information that she might have with her or that lead to him getting put there in the first place. Or, in this case, the knowledge that he will be thrust back in time and seemingly permanently. This allows him to prepare for whats t6o come, knowing that he CAN NOT change the past/future in a way that he has not already. But, he could also take the perspective that anything he will do will be right because that’s what he did all along. Fun stuff!

The ruins scene. WTF. Felt like a truncated version of what we’d have gotten if LOST wasn’t ending next year.

Peace out to C, sucky way to go.

At first I thought Charlotte was getting all psychic-y with the whole “go to the well” bit. But then i remembered the scene when Locke got shot and Richard patched him up.

Locke: "howd u know i was here?"
Richard: “you told me”

Now that line above plus Charlotte’s recollection of Daniel telling her not to go back made me realize that one of them told her about the well in the future… right?

A thought just occured to me, I remember the opening of this season with the Darma guy and the baby (lol at first i thought the chick was Sun). Could that baby be Miles?

Didn’t daniel say that the future can’t be changed, and that the only exception to this rule is desmond for some reason?

I think he said that you cant change the future only the past. which doesnt change the future but creates another timeline. thats how I interpreted it. except desmond. desmond is the exception to everything it seems. i have to reread up on wikipedia to get some of this straightened out.

hey, does anyone know if walt is supposed to be having any major role? cause, they were playing him out to be like a messiah or something. dude had powers, but now he is MIA.
