They were never specific on that point. It was obviously of no importance or the “others” would have dealt with it. Danielle obviously has no bearing on anything important (other than having a child) otherwise Ben would have dealt with her.

This is about Ben winning people’s trust when he neither deserves it nor needs it. Kate is the hardest sell. That’s why he did what he did to her because he knows shes a stupid cunt. Sun… Sun just wants him dead.
It belonged to the Dharma people. The numbers are factors in the Valenzetti equation which is supposed to predict the time left before humanity destroys itself. The whole purpose of DHARMA was to try to change any one of the numbers. The Radio Tower was supposed to broadcast the numbers to someone on the outside to let them know of DHARMA’s progress. If the Radio Tower broadcasted a different set of numbers, then the person on the outside would know that DHARMA was successful. As of the time Danielle came on the island, none of the numbers have changed yet. (Also DHARMA was decimated thanks to Ben and the “hostiles”).

You brought up something that had been bugging me as well: Cindy seemed awfully damn comfortable with her bringing the kids to watch Sawyer and Kunt… I mean Kate in cages. CAGES. It’s like going to the Most Dangerous Game Zoo or something, and she’s just perfectly okay with it. “We’re here to watch.” They just left it at that, and I guess she and the children just merrily integrated into Others society.
Since we have the whole unstable time travel thing going on this season, maybe we’ll get back to it.

I’m not too sure about this one but I’ll take a stab. Locke mentions that the Island has a plan, or a path for him to follow. Perhaps this was the way for the Island to get Hurley onto the Island. Hurley met crazy guy in the mental ward. Crazy guy worked as a naval officer monitoring radio transmissions. He picked up the numbers. In order to get the numbers to Hurley, they had to meet up at the mental ward. So Crazy guy went…crazy.
After Hurley wins the lotto with the numbers and has a string of bad luck, Hurley decides to investigate the numbers. He finds out that Crazy guy’s co-worker in the Navy lives in Australia. He goes to Australia to do some digging, doesn’t really find much information, and then he goes back to LA on Oceanic 815. And we all know what happens then.
Basically the theory is that the island manipulated events in such a way as to get Hurley on Oceanic 815.
This of course brings opens up the Fate vs Free Will argument and that opens up a whole new can of worms.
I think that Dr. Chang’s daughter might be Charlotte. Think about it, his baby doesn’t even resemble Chinese or Asian at all. Also, Ellie the blondie who takes Faraday to the Jughead looks a lot like Dr. Hawkings (the mysterious blonde woman who told Desmond that pushing the button will be the greates thing he’ll ever do) and he even recognises her…
