Question, Dear Phreak:
The Links they are selling at focusattack.com? Are these the new ones that go down more fully over the cuff and have less deadzone? I was part of the first batch of orders. Been waiting for the improved version but never got word on it. Just checking on the status.
Also… are the improvements to the operation mainly on the disconnecting side, or would one need to swap out the existing shaft as well to gain this tighter connection?

Yes and no, and sorry about that, I haven’t been good about sending email updates. I just get swamped with other stuff and forget 
At any rate, the part that is adjusted is the base piece, which has been altered to allow a more secure connection to the top section. This in turn makes the collar sit lower and goes back to a more “neutral” position. However, these adjusted pieces are literally the originals, but adjusted post creation to give this improvement. Unfortunately they do not fix the enhanced deadzone, that will be addressed in the next batch I actually have created. Unfortunately there is no ETA on that, I need to get through this batch first.

They are solely on the base section now, but there have been some slight tweaks since I first released the Link to the top section too. However, those are mostly for manufacturing adjustments. If you used a newly adjusted base with your original top you’ll most likely see a connection improvement.**

Is the increased deadzone still there or did clayton fix it?
Vicko’s correct, there was at UFGT8 but I decided to hold off on any official announcements until I get some more information to present to people.
Still there, can’t fix it out entirely until I make an entirely new batch of base pieces which I can’t do currently. Unless someone can find shim stock or similar that’s about 3 thousands of an inch thick you’ll have to hang tight.
