Damn, I’m really sorry to hear that… I have literally never had to deal with this so it’s not something I had thought of when doing pre-orders. I guess I could see how someone who has absolutely no knowledge of what they are could think they are some sort of firearm part, but I included a business card with the pre-orders which usually tips off anyone opening the package… but even then yeah I could still see the confusion.
In any case, I have indeed started including a small welcome document that just kinda states a “thank you and check you have these things” and a brief bullet point of things to watch for when installing. That alone should give someone at least a solid tip off it’s not dangerous, there’s even an image of a joystick so I could have arrows pointing to the inner dust washer that should be removed.
Let me know what happens, we can work something out if they literally can’t do anything for you. I don’t want you to be left high and dry from something like this
Just a head’s up for the EU scene. I’m putting together a bulk order for a few people to save on shipping, anyone who wants in on it to do the same should shoot me an email clayton (at) phreakmods.com
Will probably pack that up mid next week so hop to it if you’re interested.
Since you mentioned the stick is stainless steel… Does anyone happen to know if it’s magnetic or not? I’m imagining drilling a hole in my case where I can slip the stick into to store everything flush and am wondering if magnets are an option to secure it.
Just wanted to inquire about the dead zone issue. I have had moments where I’ve played UMvC3 and not had my directions register properly. Would this have to do with that issue that was briefly mentioned earlier. Also, I do plan on posting pics (I don’t think I have yet) of the insides of my Qanba Q4 w/ the updated Link.
I can’t imagine a slight increase of dead zone would cause directions to not register properly. I don’t know of anyone who’s had a direct issue with directions registering or not, mostly just a different feel they may or may not like. I haven’t noticed anything like that myself.
The construction quality is quite stunning, and the hollow shaft allows the possibility of balltop LED mods if also finding a quick disconnect solution for the wires.
It’s currently being used with an optical setup and octo-gate.
Such an awesome solution to an old problem. Sincerely hope these things become common place down the line and you guys strike a deal with a stick manufacturer
matte black
Sorry for all the dust. These testers are taking powder beautifully for the next test run I will go with white and then either chrome or the blackstar dust flip/flop
Unfortunately the only green I have in stock at the moment is a moss green that goes by “Rainforest Green” next time I reorder supply I can pick up a more general green
I just got an LS-55 spring today from FocusAttack; I gotta say, it really helps in lessening that enhanced dead zone with the Link. I highly recommend it, unless the stiffness of the spring hinders your actual gameplay.
