Hey guys, I actually got a few people asking for more Xiao stuff on youtube, so I decided to do a little more advanced break down of xiao. This first video I did is basically just notes I’ve taken on, experience I’ve had with, and frame data with each of her normals, I talk about when I’d use each normal and the different properties of all her moves. It’s quite long, but if you’re interested in learning Xiao I think it’d be helpful

Nice it should help new people, you should submit it to the homepage so more people see, found a issue with the video nothing major the game audio starts to desynch near the end, also you missed out that you can cross up with her jumping hp unless you were going to talk about that in the next vid.
Ah damn I did forget that. I actually have it in my notes too, but was trying to get through the jumping moves fast. First time I recorded this it took me 55 minutes, heh. Sucks with the desynch Tried to use a really high quality but maybe that worked against me.
Also, how do I submit to the front page? Never done that before!
How do you do that anyway? Do you c.HK, 236P Dash Cancel into it again? And when standing still is it 236P 2PPP-PPP c.HK?
Wow, I’m surprised one of my vids is one here, and I haven’t been here in a while! Well, I actually made a new combo video for Xiaoyu. Only watch until 4:00, because from there I go over some Juri combos I found. While I do love using Xiaoyu (used her since day 1), she does have a lot of frame links. Fortunately, I’ve been able to pull of most of them consistently.

Nice combo video lol, I love seeing good Xiaoyu combo videos that are at least practical because they show me what she can do in a match. The only couple comments I have is that you start most if not all of the combos in that video with a j.:hp: and that seems like you were just trying to add a bit more damage to make the combo do more. In most matches, you won’t be able to start everything with a j.:hp: but I don’t think that is really a problem lol xP
Also, in a couple combos you lead into Cyanide or Hakkesho, and after those you can go into her breakdancing thing, which is meterless and does a crap ton of damage, perhaps you made this video a while back and didn’t post it till now which is fine, but for the next combo video you might want to try some stuff out with her breakdance since that is one of her best, if not her best discovered technique yet.
Well, at the time, I figured that I had almost all of Xiaoyu’s basics in. Also, I’m fully aware that there’s not always going to be a chance to do a J. HP in battles. ^^; I did find more combos with her, most of them meterless. I’ll probably have them up soon. Thanks for the advice.
Aziik21 came up with some excellent combos using Jin and Xiaoyu.

I can’t view that video, but I saw it on Eventhubs, and that was some really cool stuff for Xiayou there. I wasn’t a fan of the second combo which utilized the infinite considering that is probably going to get patched out April 10. However, I’m going to see if I’m able to experiment with some stuff later that I saw in there, damage scaling stuff specifically.
So, I made another video, combining both Xiaoyu and Juri combos. It’s kinda cool how after the Senpusha in the corner, you can do the Breakdance loop after the switch cancel. I don’t think it’s all that great, but meh. ^^

Ling safe jump OS vs 4 frame reversals
Since the fall height is variable after the second MP doesn’t that negate this use as a safe jump? Also what is the timing for the walk forward…?
Thanks for posting up tech
No problem I want this community to start finding tech for their characters and not just combos -_-
As far as th variable fall height…I’m not sure. I can say though that as long as I’ve been doing this safe jump in real matches, it hasn’t really back fired unless I obviously screwed up the timing. The timing on the walk forward is similar to Rufus’ safe jump after galactic tornado in sf4. It’s like one step forward, like as soon as you can react to Ling walking forward is when you should jump, if that makes sense. I would say my recording of the setup, I walked too far. I walked like too steps, which is probably why it traded more then a few times. It usually doesn’t trade so much.
Ideally, you wanna press LK right above their heads as they wake up, so Lings hitbox can cause whatever reversal they do to go the wrong way.
Also, I have another video on deck, but I had to leave for class so I didn’t get a chance to upload it. It’s a OS after forward throw that works against 4 frame reversals
Can you try to see if you can get the same safe jump distance after the breakdance combo midscreen. The safe jump is really useful, but I’m scared that if I can go for a safe jump or the breakdance combo after the wave crest, I’ll probably opt for the later since it will do more damage right then and there guaranteed. I’m not on the game right now so I can’t check, and I won’t be able to probably until tomorrow.
Also, since you seem to be good on OS’s, can you check about the distance after a forward throw for Back Layout to crossup. I know after you do a forward throw if you step forward a little bit, and then do back layout when they get up, it actually crosses them up, and is extremely tricky considering you would never think to block behind you. If you wouldn’t mind, can you check the distance on that, I know it was brought up in the Xiao thread a long time ago, but nobody really kept discussing it. I never knew why, so I’m curious if the spacing is too difficult making it impractical.
