The Lili Synergy Discussion Thread

If they’re being juggled and you do dendrobium it makes them fall down. I’m pretty sure dendrobium is a hard knock down if falling down. Im gonna check.

So this team has some good synergy, but it’s hard to get in if you start with Asuka on point. characters like STUPID ENDING BOSS WORSE THAN SETH AKUMA!! can easily get in Asuka and shut her down.

I think Lili should be paired with someone that makes up for her weaknesses. Someone with a good wake up or reversal, shotos. Someone with above average health, grappler. or someone with good normals. I’m currently experimenting with Juri or Steve on point with Lili being anchor. Shes useful as anchor because one of the attack gems is use 3 special moves, so after a launcher you can do 2 angel knees and sunflower lance and immediately get that gem activated.

I use Lili on point with my Rufus.

I feel like she has a lot of good footie tools that help gain the upper-hand in the start of the match, and after that it’s an easier match for my Rufus to rush-down. I do agree with the fact that she can get a lot of damage with meter than without, but I think my choice of putting her on point rather than anchor hasn’t really proved me wrong yet.

Do u think lili and asuka are secret lovers?

in my opinion: Kazuya Mishima is a great partner for Ms.Rochefort

Reasoning: Kazuya hits like a grown man(Deals so much damage) and he gains meter faster than most characters thanks to the use of Mist Step(wavedash). His numerous amount of juggles and hard knockdown can serve Lili well for the mixups.

Using Vega on point. I dont rely much on meter with vega unless its to alpha counter or tag in Lili during combos. His normals are amazing.

I’m using Raven on point, Lili as a second. To be honest I haven’t figured much stuff out yet. Not sure if they work together, especially Raven bringing her in. Now for Lili to bring Raven in it seems quite possible with her long Ex’s, I just can’t combo much after the wall bounce with him.

Raven requires a lot of execution. You should consider using someone else as a meter builder for her. Try someone that excels in what lili lacks. Such as a wake up and stuff.

Lili is best used in the second position. You gotta find characters that suit to angel knee and who can extend combos where she can get a hit or two in. I suggest a teammate with a air launcher combo such as an srk. You can def convert an angel knee into some creative stuff.

So I have been using Lili on Point and Zangief on secondary. Do they work together? I have no idea. On the outside it looks like they do but the thing is I don’t do much besides trying to get in with Lili and then do a chain into Zangief, then commencing to command grab the opponent into oblivion. Would some people please give me some insight on why using the team of Lili and Zangief is a bad or good idea (I know that Lili should be on the second slot so you could probably skip that point)? I come to you guys because I am assuming that you have more knowledge than I do on this matter (Also, considering that I never played her in Tekken if that means anything)

I’m kinda down on execution and I’m already executing his c.hp loops and what not. But completing her lacks it would be nice. I’m trying to make them work but if it doesn’t i will look to replace one of them by Asuka.

I tried Asuka/Lili. It could just be me but Asuka on Point is hard against a character with good pokes. Getting is is a nightmare.

So I’ve been experimenting with Steve. Steve does WAY too much damage already by himself in a few punches. So it might be a good match. Plus a lot of his moves cause a float state for tag ins.

For awhile I was using Lili/Rufus but now I’ve switched to Rufus/Lili which works unbelievably better. One of Lili’s problems is getting in safely, and Rufus does that for her so well. Also Rufus can switch cancel into Lili much better than the other way around.

Lili has a ton of ways to get in safely. Just gotta work at it more man.

Raven builds meter quickly, doesn’t need it in his combos, and can get a full combo midscreen off Lili’s uniquely damaging hit-confirms into launcher.

How do you guys feel about Abel or Nina as a partner? Good launcher/meter gaining/covering each other’s weaknesses synergies?

“Lili has a ton of ways to get in safely. Just gotta work at it more man.”

She has a ton of safe moves, true… but her only safe gap closer w/o meter is F->Mk which will get stuffed by random normals pretty often… Not saying she can’t play point… She definitely can be awesome in that first slot… but getting in is definitely a problem… Once your in, your prolly one of the top characters in the game though, So much plus on that light punch man xD… other then -> mK you need to use meter to close safely(ex sunflower(2 hits))… I know she can poke confirm into L. Sunflower lance… but honestly while her pokes aren’t terrible, chances are they arent really gonna help you get it on good zoning characters… TK Ex divine step can be used on reaction to some projectiles which is nice too

I run Vega/Lili mostly cause I like the characters, but Vega is a great point for lili, only use meter on Cross Cancels(as said above)… and his cross cancels give you a lot of damage… Also, a cool Vega Lili tech, Off of a cr. mk(or mp) xx l. Rolling crystal flash, you can cancel into Lili’s Cr. H which gives you her full standing combo without too much scaling… which is nice for a good chunk of health

If you know any other safe ways for Lili to approach, please let me know cause I am def. curious at getting better at that lol

My favorite part about Lili is that she makes people respect her control over the air which is really nice for Vega if they dont make the distinction between the characters

Does Abel go well with Lili, anyone? It’s my pair right now but I’m rather inexperienced so I don’t exactly see “synergy” between any characters.

I play this team, too. I played them both at one time in Tekken 6. I think they have some team synergy. Those Cr. Hp loops with Raven help a lot with Lili’s damage, too.
