I can’t remember how I dealt with the guardians in the last stretch but I knee they were coming becaise why the fuck would they not? Lol. I think I died at least once. Pretty sure it was a lot of running, sneaking and heart attacks.

The final two trials…pwhew!!
I was damn near fucked by the last Guardian, which to no surprise was the Airship Guardian! What saved my ass was that the blast caused an updraft and I had some Ancient Arrows left.
But the true heart attack inducing section was the next and final trial. I had 0 meals, no food items and no time to get them as the Lynel, and cavalry squad of Bokonlins were on my ass!! In addition, to the Castle Guardian in “quick-scope” mode up above.
Again the thing that saved my ass, having enough Ancient Arrows left over to one shot the Lynel & later deal with the Castle Guardian.
The Bokoblin cavalry was free to the “play lame stick to high ground” method!!
Man the relief and satisfaction of finishing this DLC!!

Shit. Now I’m going to have to put my other games on hold and go back into BOTW. Reading all your posts really made me miss the game and I never completed the trials either.

Also started the Champions Ballard DLC. The One Hit Annihilator quest line was stress inducing but fair!!
Can’t wait to see the new cutscenes and get the motorcycle!!!

Just beat the beginning trials. I forgot how much damage you take when you have no armor. Sadly, I think I did the most damage to myself… Haven’t played in awhile and underestimated the range needed for the bombs. Yeah. It wasn’t pretty. Went back to wandering around for now and I’m still finding new things despite playing this game for over 100 hours.

Nothing like having the Hyrule equivalent of a “mini tactical nuke!!” in your inventory.
I had also finished the Eventide Island shrine challenge and did the glitch trick to get more regular arrows.

Skyward Sword is the first Zelda from what I remember where Link and Zelda were actually interested in each other so as far as I am aware this is correct.

Yep, the whole game is for you to quest for the 3rd Triforce (while doing a bunch of busy work along the way), the Triforce of courage is needed so Link can have the kahunas to kiss a sleeping Zelda.
She was sleep during the kiss? That’s not consent now.

That was some knight in shining armor nonsense, you saved the princess have a kiss. That Zelda not only had never met link before that moment, but was some 100 or so years old to boot. Not even the Zelda he saved in Zelda 1 lulz.

Yep, that is true, that particular Zelda was put into a spell to sleep forever and ever unless a worthy hero awakens her ala Snow White/ Sleeping Beauty or some nonsense.
Because that Zelda was put into a spell, the king at the time decree that all Princesses afterwards would be named “Zelda”. Hence why this Zelda is not the same Zelda as the original game.
(my own head canon) But as they are all Royalty, I am sure royals have like 26 names like some spanish people have with Zelda being one of the “middle” names to avoid confusion.

They are all descendants of each other, Mothers raising the daughters to protect Hyrule and keep it’s secrets safe. Just imagine a family line where all the first born girls have the exact same name, in this case Zelda, so by BOTW, that Zelda is descendant of a long line of women named Zelda.
